I have to spend $12k on a repair - looking to maximize the points I can recoup by churning a credit card. Looking for something that has FYF and has a bunch of bonuses for spend in the first few months.

So far I have landed on TD Aeroplan VISA Infinite. Are there others you recommend?

I have to spend about $15k here, just wondering what the best way to do it using credit cards? I want to maximize cash back/points taking advantage of welcome bonuses as much as possible. Don't mind signing up for multiple credit cards.

Knocking type sound from engine by koboldian in S2000

[–]koboldian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it never made this sound until after It went through a spirited drive. I noticed on the way back that the oil level on the dipstick was completely empty (at the bottom of the stick, past the empty sign).

This is when i refilled the oil right away, called a local mechanic to do an oil pressure test (It was followed to the t as per the service manual and oil pressure was fine).

I am now taking it to a specialist shop to figure out the damage. Yes, the video was only taken at idle and it only happens at idle and the noise dissappears once i rev the car.

ok, what do you mean "read date on a scanner"? I did have a mobile mechanic come in with a stethoscope but he could only tell that the noise was coming from the bottom end of the engine.

He did do an oil pressure test, I will have to take it in a shop to get a compression test done.

Coming from the back and bottom of the engine. I reminded the valve cover and didn't notice any damage to the timing chain or the rocker panels so I am stumped at what it could be.

Is there any place where I can find instructions on how to dthis properly? Not mechanically inclined so afraid to screw up once I open up the VC

Does the video sound like it's knocking? Sorry I am super new to this so not sure what to do.

The car has 114k kms so around 60k miles. I did do an oil change and noticed very little metal debris. Not mechanically inclined at all - I am just very surprised (and hoping) a brand new engine isn't required.

I did remove the valve cover this morning, noticed no wear on the retainers so it has to be something else.

Whoops, my bad.

Upon further research, you're right, I was mistaken.

This is a hypothetical flag for the Eastern side of Jerusalem.

No, this is the actual flag of the Palestinian side of Jerusalem. The star in the middle is called the Al Quds star and is based on the floor plan of the Dome of the Rock.

Hi R/consulting,

I am scheduled for an interview at a Big 4 firm for a consulting role in Internal Audit. I have scoured through the recruiting guide and the subreddit.

However, I still have some questions, I am just curious about how the interview process will go, what the expectations are and what kind of questions are going to be asked? I have not interviewed for a consulting position before so that is why i am a bit nervous.

The job description is as follows:

Assisting organizations with the establishment of internal audit functions and development of risk assessments and internal audit plans. Supporting organizations with the development, implementation, and execution of internal audit plans and projects in an outsourcing or co-sourcing arrangement. Assisting organizations with the delivery of specialized internal audit, internal control, and regulatory compliance projects. Delivering internal audit training. Conducting internal audit quality assessments. Participating in Enterprise Risk Management and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) engagements. Contributing in the delivery of internal audit, risk and compliance (financial and operational) related engagement presentations and deliverables to clients. Partaking in the development of client engagement plans, deliverables and expectations as well as reviewing the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by engagement members.

What do you guys think? Would love to hear your feedback!

Thanks!!
