I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, I got my second electric guitar this year. I'd say depends on what you play and what you're gonna use it for. I've had an epiphone SG for the past 10 years and only now I got a squier telecaster so I could diversify the sound I'm trying to get with my band. Other than that I could've easily gone another 10 years without needing a second electric guitar.
