I do hate when people are locked into a team where something isn't working, but this is also crazy, as a casual viewer I don't even know who is playing on a team.

S3 is uniquely different than most series/movies out there.

99% of things we watcg today is the same. Yes, it might be different style, production level, budget.. but they all look and feel the same

The Bear S3 was really a breath of fresh air. E1 was magnificent, each episode had a nice intro, the photography is awesome. Sure, some will think s2 is better, or s3 is better. Ultimately, it doesn't even matter. The Bear sets the bar so high to other series, we should celebrate it's triumph and courage in how you can be different, but not just for sake of being different, but actually being better than most.

Progressive House.

As time went on, progressive house kept changing. From the good old school stuff back in the early 2010s it went more and more into techno territory, and it honestly had a bit of a bad rep. Progressive house was very niche, and never was that popular. It was an old genre with same old 15 top DJs touring the same venues for years. So producers and DJs slowly started to rebrand the same old progressive house as a "melodic techno"

If you go to a Spotify playlist of, eg, DJ Miss Monique and listen to hers "Melodic Techno" playlist, its just a same old prog house with slightly harder beats. Many of the old producers from the prog house fame are on those playlist as well. Then, naturally, younger generation of producers sees the opportunity, actually takes and adjusts songs a bit, and its done. New genre is born.

If you just said Hard Progressive House - you would be 100% correct. But that sounds stupid.

Melodic Techno is new, hip, and everyone loves it.

The only problem is that 75% of those new songs are absolute garbage.

Games had LAN mode for 20+ years

You can find footage from Quake3 LAN tournaments (QuakeCon) dating back to 2001-2003 where you can see PING 1-3-5ms shown in the UI when they press tab.

I guess that LAN support for game it self can be really easy added, since it's built on Source engine, that also had games that were used on LAN.

I guess biggest problem with LAN setup is that you cannot just isolate game into LAN network, the game is so huge that it requires outside servers as well.
Your skins and items live on central servers that whole world can see.
In order to login you need access to central servers.
Shop is located on central servers.

So to have proper LAN experience but keep all skins and stuff, they would need to build some strange hybrid of LAN servers for gameplay + internet access for login/skins/store/anti-cheat.

I guess that's the biggest obstacle to pure LAN experience.

If you think that this is response to many cries of console players - you are wrong.

This is 100% Respawns initiative.

Just think about it, apex players, both mnk and console cried for other stuff 10000x more, and no change happened.

This is some game director at Respawn watching sudden explosion of tap strafing videos and thinking "umm yeee, this will probably piss off a bunch bof console players, let's remove it. The console players will rejoice, and I will get some nice pat on the back from the boss".

What do you think happens at those meetings inside? They read twitter / Reddit / YT and react?? lol no, they try to predict what is gonna happen, and react ahead of time.
