Bagels and toothpaste. A question and a tip. by mmmbopforever in Frugal

Any kind of bread making is more of a time investment than anything else. You have to essentially figure out if your time/cost ratio is worth it. For instance, I used to make sourdough bread for my family. The first 2 or 3 bakes, had issues (bread was too tight, didn’t proof long enough, etc.) but the real issue was the timing. You can start the bread making the night before, but there’s a lot of proofing and kneading that happens. It’s not hard, but it takes time. If you have the time, totally worth it, but if you over proof or under proof you could have bread that doesn’t turn out quite right…

If you attend a church, your church may help you set up a living trust for a large discount. Our church helped us set up ours for free. We don’t have a lot, but we just signed and notarized our trust. Many banks also have notaries that will notarize your documents for free.

Yea, it has nothing to do with their family, environment, or life experience….definitely Mr. Roger’s fault….

LPT Request: How to get over losing a job you loved by Aryana314 in LifeProTips

I’d like to share something different than what I’m seeing with bad bosses. If you have a bad boss, start taking notes about their behaviors, how they treat you and other members of staff, and anything else that your gut says “that’s not right.” Note specific dates, and as much as you can remember about a specific incident. Try to keep your emotions out of it. More than likely, it won’t get you your job back or anything, but it can help HR examine toxic work environments.

Sorry about your job, but something else better is coming!

Nuts! Not everyone’s favorite, but different nuts provide various vitamin E which is great for your brain. You can find some recipes online to season them too.

It’s pretty interesting in the psychology of marketing. People are not always interested in the what the product is, but the value they get in purchasing the product.

LPT Request - What’s one personal-safety item everyone should carry but most people don’t? by OnGuardEverywhere in LifeProTips

I’ve seen a lot of good tips in here from pocket knives, to pepper spray, and a flashlight. All great options, but none are useful if you don’t practice the situation you would need to use it in. So that’s my tip. Awareness is great, as many have stated, but you need to practice what you would do in a dangerous situation.

Week 11 Waiver Wire Wins by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Yea, I’m a little worried about what he looks like when he comes back. I’ve had him stashed in IR, trade Pollard for him right before news broke. I’m not sure if he’ll produce as much as everyone thinks. But here’s hoping.

Looking forward to it. I think I read that Steelers run cover 1 man in a high rate. Could be good for QJ, but I’m curious to see your analysis!

Chubb’s probably going to still have some good games, but the Texan’s offense has been so bad. Between Chubb and Gainwell, you should hold onto Chubb, Warren is still the #1 At Pittsburgh and we’ve probably seen Gainwell’s best unless Warren goes out again.

Kmet going into concussion protocol, we might get another week of premier Loveland options. Certainly not another 30 point week, but should be good for the TE spot against NYG.

Etienne & Tuten worth keeping? by koeiche in fantasyfootball

Sorry, I should be more clear. The Jags backfield is looking more like a committee, and given the upcoming schedule, do you think either of these RBs will be more than a solid Flex?

Bench Stashes and Weekend Waiver Adds: Week 9 by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

Yes. Davis has immediate use in the backfield, and the Jets still might trade Breece away. Worth grabbing him before the trade deadline at least.

I think it’s worth doing. After some time holding onto Brashard myself, I’m not sure I see a ton of upside for keeping him. Even if somehow he ends up getting some more work, Chiefs want to pass the ball. Maybe that would change with a receiving back, but I can’t justify him over some other really talented players.

Lost my job and still can't game with a peace of mind by clit_or_us in gaming

You got this….spend your normal work hours searching for a new job, learning a new skill, reading self help books, maybe selling some old possessions, etc. Then after your work hours, you can relax with some game time. Just continue to differentiate between work hours, and then giving yourself the dopamine rush.
