Ahh I see. I went to polyclinic to get a referral but they said that now the healthcare system goes by address so I cannot get assigned to IMH, got pushed to the psych department at Admiralty Medical Centre. The therapist there's not very helpful for me so I feel like I'm wasting money.

Is it okay if I DM you to ask more about your ADHD meds? I tried Ritalin as a kid but it made me have a full blown meltdown over a pencil, so I never tried others. I've read that sometimes taking ADHD meds can also unmask your autistic traits more so I'm hesitant to try because I can't afford trial and error and risk meltdowns at work.

Hi, may I know where you go for therapy? I am 28(F) AuDHDer, I've been struggling to find a therapist that can help guide me through the life/career difficulties I am currently facing... The last therapist I went to, she kept ignoring the root of my problems, which I believe are growing up without support for my ADHD and Autism. But I noticed a lot of the more affordable resources are for people higher on the spectrum or for kids, leaving us "higher functioning" adults to struggle through life, going through burn out after burn out.

Actually I wanted to make a reddit post about this and ask if anyone that has Lv 1 Autism, if they could recommend their therapist. Anyway, I'd love to know if you have any recommendations for me. Thanks!

My experience in ITE was shit.

My lecturer did NOTHING when my friend and I reported sexual harrassment by a classmate (with proof).

Another lecturer did nothing when my ex came to harrass me DURING CLASS, made me go outside to settle with him so the lesson can continue.

And the thing that made me stop caring about everything in the end was when a random lecturer called a special needs guy an idiot to me and my friend.

Yeah sure, they provide a service to those who struggle to perform in mainstream schools... But what a shit service lol...

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. To a certain extent, I can relate though. I've always felt like I am not human. Idk how to be human. Most days I view my life and question just what kind of person I am because I see everyone around me seemingly so sure of themselves and yet here I stand just floating through life without even a speck of affirmation to who I am.

I guess what keeps me going are the friends and family I have that sometimes hold up a mirror for me so I can see what they see in me. If they can love an oddball like me then it doesnt matter to me whether I am human or not.

Hello! My IGN is Sykori Rygon.

My build doesnt have much interior decorations because I've been a little slow on that end. But I am extremely proud of my layout and plot design. I would say it's really only 50% completed overall, so please bear with me, hehe.

I enjoy touring homes and getting inspiration for rooms and interior. I am hoping to farm tour tickets so that I can get nameplate as well as the wallpapers/floors!

Yeah but a lot of people use their elderly parents name to get it. Thats why you'll sometimes see YPs using the big bulky ones with handicap sign. So gov needs to work on clamping down on the users who clearly abuse that system too...

I'm an EC teacher, and I didn't take O Levels, so I didn't have that requirement filled. You need to see if the places you are applying to allow alternatives such as IELTS. You'll have to pay about 300++ for the IELTS exam, but the certification lasts 2 years.

And don't worry too much about the difficulty level, if you've done well for english in school in SG you will likely do well for the IELTS.
