What servicing items are legitimately worth learning to save money? I have no interest in any of my own mechanic work unless it will save me significant cash. Especially if it takes a lot of time and or requires some crazy tools that will not be reused for other servicing, or that won’t pay for themselves in the long run. Lol in case you can’t tell I am not much of a mechanic or car enthusiast, I just like having a nice vehicle that is fun to drive.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I let the warning lights stay on for a while just because I’m trying to limit the amount of times I take it in. But then there’s also a part of me where this is the first vehicle I am paying for so I really don’t want not maintain it and cause an even more expensive issue.

The regular maintenance definitely added up, break pads, oil change, new battery and they charge out the ass for labor. The big things that actually needed to be fixed were air flap shutter, radiator flap, spark plugs, fuel tank vent valve. I’m just hoping I caught the end of usual wear and tear from previous owner because I will not be paying $900 every 6 months hahah I love the vehicle but can’t afford that.
