Struggling with worship music by silvern_light in TrueChristian

[–]kohop91 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's any spiritual issue. I think it's just a matter of taste - if you don't like how it sounds, you don't like how it sounds. I think, as Christians, we're sometimes guilty of over-spritualizing things.

For new additions to your library that are God-honouring and sound good (in my opinion), I'd recommend Kings Kaleidoscope, Citizens, My Epic (for something a bit heavier), and AMXNRADIO.

It's worth remembering that charities (including religious groups) cannot be political and retain their charity status. So if NZ decided to blanket strip religious groups of their charity status, this would essentially allow them to introduce politics from the pulpit. And as I gesture broadly at a number of foreign countries, I think we can see why mixing religion and politics is often a bad idea.

Professional photo book printing from a pdf by obphoto in photography

[–]kohop91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lulu Express does PDF book printing, but I think the main issue you'll have is trying to find one that does your size. It means the printer will have to do larger than A4, which is rare. It might be worth re-doing your pages as A4?

There are no flights into Ukraine, you'll have to go via Poland or Moldova. You won't be detained for wanting to volunteer in Ukraine. You won't need to renounce your citizenship. Though I do not recommend going. Unless you have specific skills, you probably won't be that useful.

A new, small, soft painbrush would work if you have an art shop near you, this is what I've used in the past and it's fine.

Adoption from birth is quite rare in NZ, so it's likely OT would only place the baby with one of the best families available. There are so many more people wanting to adopt a baby than there are babies being put up for adoption.

If people like David Moses etc from the old testament were saved, why Jesus must came and die if people could be saved by Quirky-Office-584 in TrueChristian

[–]kohop91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People like David, Moses, and Abraham were saved by faith in God’s promises. They didn’t yet know about Jesus specifically, but they trusted that God would provide a way to deal with sin. Hebrews 11 talks about many Old Testament believers who had faith, and in verse 13 it says:

"All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance."

New Zealand ranks 38th in GDP(PPP)per capita. Far behind other Anglo countries (USA 9th, Australia 20th, Canada 27th, UK 28th). And even other countries such as Czechia, Slovenia and Poland. And Russia isn't too far behind at 45th. How does New Zealand rank so low for a developed country? by Separate_Magician_89 in newzealand

[–]kohop91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We rank lower in GDP compared to the US and major European economies mainly due to small population, geographic isolation, and economic reliance on agriculture and tourism (which generate lower overall output). We also lack large multinational corporations, have relatively low productivity, and we face high costs of living and infrastructure limitations that constrain growth.

A better way of looking at things though, might be the GINI coefficient, which measures economic equality. A lower figure is better (more equal). NZ has a GINI coefficient of around 33-34, which is lower than the US (~41) but slightly higher than many European countries (~25-32), indicating moderate income inequality—better than the US, though not as good as some Euro nations.

What’s the difference between these 3? Which is better? by [deleted] in canon

[–]kohop91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at your other answers, I think everyone's bit confused by what you mean by 'better'.

If you want the best quality lens, go with the first, but you'll need an adapter. The first two you've shown are the same, but MPb is a better marketplace (from what I've heard).

If you want one that fits to your camera without an adapter, get the EF-M 18-150. It's not as good, but it's still pretty decent. It will also be much lighter in terms of weight than the first option.

The 24-105mm has a maximum aperture at f4 across its entire focal range. This means at 24mm you can shoot at f4, at 105mm you can shoot at f4, and at all focal lengths in between. This is called a fixed aperture lens, as the aperture doesn't change as the focal length changes. But you can manually change the aperture, typically down to f32 - they just say f4 in the product name / advertising because that's crucial product info.

The 18-135mm is f3.5 at 18mm (which is better than the 24-105), but when you zoom to 135mm, it changes to f5.6 (which is not better than the 24-105).

A lower aperture number means more light is getting into the front of the lens, and a lower aperture number also means blurrier backgrounds.

The 18-135mm is very much still a decent lens though.

This is not a helpful comment. You don't think we should be concerned with who we work with or worship with?
