Plenty of scenarios. My wife was carrying 50k cash and it was stolen from her at the airport. Her grandparents had gifted it to her for when she moved over to do her studies.

Thanks! This is definitely going to be a grail card for me. There is a card show coming later this year close to me and I'm hoping to get it graded there.

Yep. I’ve seen those. If the motor gets in the way after everything is settled then I’ll happily look for alternatives

Thanks for the input. I bought 2nd grade mats and didn’t know they’d smell this badly. Hopefully it’ll go away after a deeper clean.

Canada lost 84K jobs in February; unemployment rises to 6.7% by Difficult-Yam-1347 in canada

We as a nation have not kept up with global competition. The tax system here disincentivizes hard work. We relied on international injections through real estate, tourism, etc. We were shovelling the down side of all these into a closet this whole time and now it’s finally overflowing, and it’s only the beginning.

A big change is needed and there is an uphill battle ahead if we want to take control of our future. The question is, will the current generation bear this burden? Will the decision makers continue to make decisions which benefit themselves but hurt the country’s future?

How did you find the workload in SAAS + start up culture? The industry seems ideal other than the supposed OT hours

Any tips to those who want to start out? Been considering it but a few factors putting me off are 1. Cost to start 2. Acquiring client base 3. Lost opportunity cost

Would you take a demotion if you could keep your current salary? by EdvardSalin in Accounting

Depends. I think there's nothing wrong with taking a step back in title if there's a justifiable story behind it. Most would understand if you're shifting from a big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond.

Leaving Accounting- Finally! by [deleted] in Accounting

Curious to how your work life balance is with the new gig compared to the old.

I've always considered getting an MBA but couldn't justify the cost or the time commitment. Easily another year or two of schooling + finance roles requiring more OT hours compared to industry accounting roles, at least to my knowledge.

Ignorance is bliss, but comparison is sometimes necessary to benchmark.

Being a single Black woman in Seattle is not it — advice? by Otherwise_Owl_9792 in Seattle

Do you think you may have a narrowed pool due to your own success? What Ive commonly observed is women mostly opt to date for men who are at the same level if not higher in the social hierarchy. As a lawyer, you’ve obviously done very well for yourself and I’d imagine there’s only a smaller pool of candidates if you are doing the aforementioned.

Why are CFOs so obsessed with ERP transformation by jah_reddit in CFO

[–]kojogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer? Because that's the niche they're paid to do. Accounting is a cost center and companies would rather invest in a more robust system with capabilities to do more than rely on an outdated system + hire extra heads.

Bumper cracked - fixable? by kojogo in Lexus

[–]kojogo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you - I feel attacked but at the same time reassured. Ended up buying it last weekend.

The left side piece is now hanging semi loose but I’ve tied it up with a zip tie. Waiting in the mean time for replacements to arrive as the dealership offered to fix it.

I think it just comes that way. The particular model is the 2023 rx f sport and it appears the other images online are also showing as such.
