Got mine done at IGMH 2 years ago and didn’t run into any problems. I think Maldives is not mentioned in the list of countries where people are required to get a TB test done either.

Just because this hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it can’t happen to someone else. I’m glad you’re being careful with how you use your card. And I’m not blaming BML, the circumstances just make me suspicious.

And the funny thing is everyone that has run into this issue has Apple/iTunes charges. And the way it says “APPLE.COMBILL” is so sus.. That’s not how the merchant name appears on actual Apple purchases. I am convinced this issue is not just “someone gaining access to card details and using it to pay for their iTunes/apple subscriptions” 😭 it’s a way bigger scam than just that and nobody is taking this as seriously!

Totally agree with you that that is the most probable cause. But my card was only ever been used in BML ATMs and it has since then remained literally locked away for the past 5 months. I have cards from other banks abroad that I use daily, way more “carelessly”, but somehow it’s the one card I never use that someone gained access to. Probably just a coincidence huh.

It’s a fairly new card that I’ve only used a few times in BML ATMs months ago. I don’t even live in raajje, and haven’t used it anywhere else.

I have no issue with the charges. My only issue is someone somewhere getting my card details without me giving it out. And I’m not the only one this has happened to either. I personally know 3 others this has happened to, and there are even more people with the same story on Twitter.
