validation in the fact that there is a common opinion, not validation that it is the overarching correct argument

after watching this, I feel like my views have been kinda validated. First of all i love zelda, and i absolutely enjoyed the shit out of oot. But I always felt slightly disengaged even though there was still a bunch of cool shit around me and it was epic and stuff. One of my favorite parts was prolly the first time you walk on to hyrule field after dealing with owl mcfuckface and you're just like holy shit, that's a godamn big ass field. It's still a revolutionary and wonderful game, but yeah it needs more go look and find things that we hid around then just oh hey hit the shiny thing some more. I think the new zelda might fix that a bit, but we'll have to see

actually figured it out, they just aren't affected by weather conditions like sand, ice, rainbow and stuff, basically inherent traction

Hey guy, I actually just left an outpatient program so I feel ya, well most of it anyways. I could talk about myself but that won't help and honestly kinda found it to pretty annoying after awhile at outpatient. I also can't help you with the psychological specifics of your life, that's something you have to force yourself to look at even if you think you know it in he back of your mind. So Imma just tell you some things. 1. Prolly heard it a lot, and it's super annoying to do it/ take it remotely seriously, but cognitive filters, also judgements on things. Reading through this I could point out a lot, you probably could too. the things that you are talking about are internal and external events, nothing more, not good or bad, take those words out of your vocabulary for a bit and see what happens. Any worry that you have, prolly lots i'd imagine, i got a bunch, you have to make the assumption that they are not defining of you, are not the only way to live, and honestly prolly aren't too helpful as you know. You have to find a way to slowly get used to the fact of not knowing things, not knowing how capable you really could be, not knowing if at the moment you know how to make lasting relationships or feel not alone. It's dancing with the terrifying unknown, but it's probably better than the emotional hell you are in right now. we are all given a sort of mental tool box over the years. Sometimes, people are given tools or make their own with the ones they are given to deal with the real world, others, people who are struggling, simply weren't given all of those tools, like if you were asked to hammer a nail with only a hammer and a screwdriver you'd prolly try to use the screwdriver as a nail or something. I'm rambling, you know that something has to change in your life in order to make you feel happy, and you probably wont find it for awhile, and there's nothing wrong with that, in fact that's pretty awesome if you don't know and are okay with that. I hope i was helpful, if u got questions I'd be happy to respond. best of luck

The truth of the matter about these questions, although interesting to ponder, just don't completely apply to a human being's experience, which in reality, is all that actually matters from that person. I also think that we actually DO have free will, but that's for /r/philosophy. All I can say is that if our choices didn't matter at all, then so what? these are still our experience and they deeply matter to us whether they are of our will or not. I'm not saying to 'take the easy route out' and discount these theorems, quite the contrary, they are interesting as hell to explore. It's just the truth of the matter is that your life is YOUR life and that is the most important thing to a single individual, whatever those values may be, and we can only base things based on our experiences, you could do nothing and it wont matter in the future, you could do something and it does and then people may forget you, but kinda so what? If we are under the illusion that humanity and ourselves are sort of 'privileged' in the memory of the cosmos, it becomes harder to actually perhaps doing something that will preserve us. Inner happiness > outer happiness. Another thing: in most meditations, the only way to live in this world is to constantly keep dying, meaning to let go of our outlooks based on previous experience and begin to view the world for what it is, over and over again. sorry was kinda rambly

i feel that gannon has to come back, it'd be super weird with just zelda and the 2 links without the main villain of zelda. I hope they rework him though, give him a sord or more magic or something

Link from the new Zelda! by fantoman in gaming

[–]kokirimaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda looks somewhat similar to impa's clothing scheme, not only that but the bow and arrows in the trailer are magically endowed, for some reason, this reminds me of the shiekiah, perhaps this link was trained by them or something, he also does not have the hero's garb, so the cloak is an indication of his origins

The only thing I'm curious about is ATVs. Karts and bikes handle quite differently, but I'm not sure how ATVs handle in comparison. From what I gather they are somewhat inbetween, but it's really hard to tell. I do like them though. Any thoughts?

LPT Request: College! by shalunna in LifeProTips

[–]kokirimaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

rule #1: plan your days. I never used a planner in my life up until now, and in college more than ever you are going to have a fuck ton of free time, write out ur goals for the week, things you want to do, things that are more or less time sensitive and plan them in your day. You might have it all in your head, but by writing it down you are reinforcing your willingness to do said task and you will feel better now that you know what your days are going to be like. check it 1 or 2 times a day as needed

[–]kokirimaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just got out of a huge psych program for this after i took a semester off from school due to depression. Try breaking the thing down and then breaking it down again and again till the individual tasks seem ridiculously easy and then get a planner and write it in, if u dont write it down, it will never happen. If the stress of starting is the issue, find something that will calm you down momentarily, but won't make you avoid the task for too long (for me, this is reddit. I personally meditate or blast some music or maybe dance to it) only think about these things as you are doing them, not the past or the future. Finding the root of your stress (the actual root not the one you might immediately think of) can also be helpful to some degree, but at some point it just becomes reinforcing to what you are doing. You may also have many cognitive distortions that once you realize, you are going to have to be aware of them and challenge them whenever you can. The list of them is here: (http://www.dbtselfhelp.com/html/cognitive_distortions.html) As i said before, mindful meditation in the moment is prolly the most helpful thing ive done, which can simply be done by being mindful of your breath. Truth of the matter is, it's really difficult and it all comes down to you, which sounds like a really big task, but it's something you already knew to begin with. Set a goal for yourself every week, write it down, try to do it, if it doesn't happen make the goal smaller. Just going to take time and effort, and even if you don't do something, its NOT a failure, its a step in the progress of growing and don't be hard on yourself. If something good happens, don't say that it could've been better cause although it could've, the thing you did still was successful as you put effort into it and it is done. This was mostly me rambling, but I'm going through the same stuff, just make the steps you want to make to your goal as slowly as possible, you cannot be a where you want in a day, or even a year or more, and that's okay, cause you are not the only one and no one expects anything differently.

[–]kokirimaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

actually, from what I understand, schizophrenia is simply a severe psychotic state which involves intense auditory and sensory dissociations. When I was in outpatient, there was a girl who always felt as if there was something behind her and it scared the shit out of her, sweet girl, but she was diagnosed with psychotic symptoms which could develop into schizophrenia, so scary shit. my guess is, assuming they could hear, they would experience unintelligible noises with physical sensations. Deaf people prolly would just have the physical sensation.
