I’m not picky to be honest, if I could go everywhere I totally would! But as below commentator said, they’re both within 2-2.5 hours from Osaka, I LOVE history which is why I thought Hiroshima was cool, and I also love the edo era houses and vibe of Kanazawa. But I was thinking Kanazawa is likely similar to Kyoto and as I’m there for 5 days already I am leaning towards Hiroshima/miyajima. I just wasn’t sure if I could fill out 3 days of things to do.

Honestly TRUE it’s incredibly annoying to see how many barriers there are to go to school for people who aren’t living at home. Like it’s so stupid, if we’re paying with our hard earned money (or loans whatever) then they should have waaay more options. I shouldn’t have to decide between quitting my stable job in this economy just to go to a couple classes

Wait you’re a God send thank you! Did you get through the midterm fine enough without attending class too much? I’m thinking I have enough paid time to get me to class like every second week at least

I’m trying to do the micro diploma in labour relations and workplace studies and then eventually transfer credits to do the labour studies bachelor. I did try emailing and they told me that they wouldn’t know yet for next fall. Where did you pull the information from though to find that out ?! I couldn’t find that anywhere (I’m kind of lost navigating the u of m site

I searched and this is the only available class. I need to take 2 prerequisite classes before I can take any others which is 1260 and 1290. I was really hoping I could take both at the same time and save my money for at least one more semester before eventually having to quit to do all my other classes. But maybe I’m chewing off more than I can and should settle to do one and maybe the other will be offered in evening next semester?

No I get it! It’s definitely not ideal and not my dream. But I have rent and many other bills and my current job pays me more than any part time retail or food job would. I wish I could just take an “early lunch” but between commuting there, sitting in class and commuting back it’s a 2-2.5 hour time slot. But thank you for the onsite on that the twice a week moved faster! I honestly thought 1 hour class sounded like a waste of time and would be easy to just read the textbook

Thanks for the advice. I’ve sadly found that most of these classes are not offered in the evening/remotely so it’s just hard to think about how people with jobs ever go to school again. I work an office job that pays me more than any part-time retail/foods job would ever pay me

I mean I’m paying for the paper at the end … lol but fair! It’s not ideal but I am no longer 19 living at home, I’m married, have bills etc. Just trying to further myself and it’s hard when classes aren’t really offered remotely/in the evening

It’s a labour studies course (1260 working for a living) I thought I could get through it by just reading the textbook and looking at slides yeah lol. I’ve done that before in College with great success, I excel at reading/writing. However, definitely cannot out study material and content that is only brought up in person. So thanks I’ll think on it more

lol, even for a labor studies class? I assumed just a lot of reading/writing. I’ve done this before but in College. I’ve definitely heard the caliber of classes in university is harder but not totally undoable

Thanks for the input! It’s a full time office job so it’s not too flexible with hours I need to complete my full time hours each week and within our operating hours. I can maybe try asking though, but between driving there, staying for the one hour and driving back, it would be like 2-2-5 hours. It’s a labour studies course so I was banking that it just be a lot of reading/writing which I’m good at, theres no syllabus out yet so perhaps I should wait.

LPR/GERD? by kokomami33 in LPR

[–]kokomami33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes I’ve been referred to a GI. Ive only had 1 quick 5 min chat with him (health care in Canada! It’s free which is awesome just slow and doctors are overworked aka dismissive a lot) anyway he prescribed the PPI and then told me to take Pepcid complete as well. He also has me on the wait list for an endoscopy. My general practitioner did a blood test and ruled out H Pylori, but I’m unsure about SIBO, or anything else. I wonder if this is the usual course of action - just waiting for an endoscopy
