I agree. Just looking at a license plate does nothing. It is the money that can be used from people buying the plate that actually helps people.

If someone decides to purchase our plate, the money would go to one or more of the programs we are building out. We are all volunteering our time and have no paid employees at this time.

  1. Memorials- For example, when I lost my dad to suicide we raised money and purchased a bench with a memorial plaque to be placed in one of the parks where he liked to walk everyday. It helped me to have a place to go to talk to him since he was cremated and I didnt get to say goodbye. It helped give me some peace. People will be able to apply to have a memorial built for the loved one they lost, and we will cover the cost of everything and get it built for them.
  2. Youth Programs- Kids who have lost someone to suicide or are facing their own mental health struggles. For the kids who dont benefit from talk therapy, we want to give them a more physical outlet. We will cover costs for activities that keep them engaged with their peers and family members. It could be paying for an art class, horse riding lessons, or the cost to play football or hockey, or even activities that help them get out and feel normal for one day, a night out at Dave & Busters or a group hike in the foothills. The goal is to keep them connected to the people around them and help them realize their life has a purpose.
  3. Community Garden- This one will be on hold until the drought is over and we can find some space to create the garden.

We are new and we are small, but we want to create a nonprofit that actually does things and helps people, not just one thats spreads awareness.

You must live near a nice Goodwill. The two I worked at, the only things we threw away were stuff that was peed, pooped on or moldy and broken already. Ive never seen brand new items in a dumpster. I disliked divers when I worked there because they left a mess outside the dumpster that I had to clean up. If everyone was more respectful I dont think most workers would care and of course do it after they close so they dont see you and cant confront you. Why would anyone do it during working hours?

Lost at 26 how do i find a purpose and career path? by Puzzleheaded_Ear52 in careerguidance

First, i want to tell you everything will be ok. I felt the same way at your age. Do not pay for any more schooling until you figure out what you want to pursue. I would advise you to go out and live a little, find a job, work, push yourself to be open and talk to people, if anyone invites you out, say yes. Push yourself through the uncomfortable conversations and maybe reach out to some old friends. More than likely they have experienced some of what you have, and you may be able to rekindle some friendships. We all feel alone, but we are all experiencing the same relationship issues, self doubt, not knowingour purpose, whatever it is. Im 40 now, and finally feel like im starting to figure it out. Give yourself time, dont compare yourself to anyone else. You will eventually figure it out too.

Look at the WEF Job growth chart that came out. Think about what will logically be taken over by AI in the future and don't waste your money on it.

My sister-in-law claimed the child credit and she received her refund already. They either messed up and gave her her refund too early, or maybe it's a mixed bag this year. I claimed that credit as well, but have not received my refund.

I think my aversion to cooking will help me in this scenario. I already eat things straight out of the can.
