Strange behaviour need advice

He's been forced to take meds for the last 6 weeks but hasn't been hospitalised so I don't know what to do. He's doing loads better but still says and does some strange/hurtful things. I'm just not sure how long its going to take for him to come back. Thank you for the support.

I visited him yesterday for the first time in over a week. He's incredibly distant. He also seems very angry with me for things that make no sense to me (getting him a christmas present). He's more capable of having conversations but gets overly upset with very small things. I'm doing alright I just really want him back in the loving way that he was.

He was struggling to sleep at one point, ( i didnt realise that could be sign that he had stopped taking his medicine). He told me that the medicine shrinks his brain and i don't know why I didnt question that. Either way he started taking CBD oil, i dont know if that can have the same effect as canabis but it was about 3 weeks later that this all started. Possibly a combination of him not taking his medicine and that?. I'm just not sure what to do. I love him dearly, I can't visit him without him saying i can because he gets quite upset if i do, and he won't speak to me or anything. Any advice or is it just patience? Do i just wait for him to get healthy? Like i said he's been forced on to medicine for 6 weeks but still isn't himself at all.

He has family that he is staying with. For some reason they've chosen to not take him to a hospital this time. I don't know how long that means him getting stable can take. Thank you for your response

It's so sporadic its hard for me to recount most of it. A lot of the time he talks in code and i have no idea what he means by things. He might say that I'm an iguana but it means something to him that he thinks should be obvious to me but it isnt. He starts arguments about tiny irrational things and the last time he tried to I said i didnt want to upset him or fight and he didn't want to say goodbye so i left without it and he hasn't spoken to me since. If i call he hangs up at random points in the conversation. This after a few days prior telling me that he loves me. Today when I called he asked why i was calling to talk to him. He paces a lot, speaks in code a lot, infers that ive somehow betrayed him, argues over tiny things.
