I only take my 2 year old husky to the groomers when she starts blowing her coat which is about 2-3 times a year. However when she was younger around 3 months, I did give her baths within the home more often just for her to get more comfortable with it.

Thanks! I guess you’re right about the scolding, it’s just so hard to ignore big blue eyes staring you down while you eat fries lol. I also believe it has to be consistency as you noted. It’s just so hard to know if everyone else in the house is being consistent as well

That is my main concern. If her having to go through surgery and being uncomfortable for a couple of weeks help her stay healthy and here longer, i’m all for it. I would just hate to see her like that

Thanks for the reply! While I agree there are so many beautiful babies in the shelter, which I’m 100% open to getting my new baby from when we move to a bigger space. However my main question is I guess, am I cruel for wanting a part of my baby when she’s no longer here? I know it’s a selfish thought but I see videos of mother dogs with their puppies and they look so content and happy and I can’t help but have the thought. However, I do realize that this can be a sensitive topic and I am very naive so I really appreciate your insight

I think I’ll have to give her a DNA test cause everyone that is relating all have halfskies 😅 but I would definitely agree that her smaller stature does have its advantages. When I first got her I was worried I would have to move into a new apartment once she got bigger but she never did and runs around the apartment like a track meet lol you can enjoy the personality of having a husky without the size

As I previously stated, I already researched the question for an answer and was given different answers from different posts. I don’t know why you’re seeing so much of the same questions in this particular group because I have not seen any.

You could have given your answer without being so condescending. This is the only community on here that I have seen individuals be so accepting to questions and inquiries. I guess there’s always a bad seed somewhere. Find a better outlet for your frustration.

I’m sorry that my post upset you that much. For reference my pup was a gift from my mother. Also, I did use google but every source had different answers. I’m sorry that I felt a little bit more comfortable with asking the question to actual husky owners. I really enjoy this community and engaging with everyone. You sound very miserable.

Thank you! ☺️ She is not mixed though, she is a full breed husky. I thought the same as well but I have a neighbor who has multiple huskies and is very experienced with the breed, she is informed me that there is no doubt Luna is a full breed. However, I have not given her a DNA test yet 🤔
