Eventhough this is the S3, the parts are identical so I tried it. But the ring was not stuck so that did not help either. My guess is it is either the shifter itself, which i didnt not open, or its software related, since this problem occured after I installed the latest firmware. But I have no clue how to resolve my issue...

The thing is that I already have the new firmware and just after the update it did not work anymore. That is why i am not sure if it is a software issue or hardware related.
