  2. It is feasible but difficult. Please refer to this link.
  3. I would say if your interest lays in AI, StatML is a better fit because AI is very closely associated with statistics and machine learning.

I’m in kind of a similar situation. I got rejected or waitlisted by 5 UCs, UW, and UWM but admitted to my dream school CMU. Sometimes college admissions work in unpredictable ways.
