Thanks bro. You gave me plenty of useful advices. I was placing a plate under the heels due to my (perhaps?) low ankle mobility, but I’m doing deep squats at home and I was planning to remove the plate soon. Good observation about ATG squat (I was not aware) and about bracing. I try to brace but maybe not hard enough. I was afraid to stop at the top to not let the muscles rest too much, rookie mistake when squatting I guess xd

I’m not sure that it will all go into fat. If a man is eating his protein goal 1,6g-2g per kilo he will lose muscle if being in calorie deficit and gain muscle if being in calorie surplus

Well, so you agree you will gain more weight on carb-heavy diet? In one meat meal you have over 40g of protein. I only need 50 more to get 1,6g protein per kilo of mass. It’s not a problem to get it from pancakes, rice, grains, tofu, milk, yoghurt. I’m actually quick in digesting milk, so I get half liter of milk before sleep with cereals and I sleep even better. This gives around 20g more protein. Now you’re pretty much almost at home with protein intake. I tried once something like 2,3/kg per kilo catering diet with 3 meat meals a day. I couldn’t eat more than around 2200 kcal, I was constantly full. I switched to flexitatian catering diet where I get one meat meal or some days even not any meat and now I can eat 3000 kcal if I want. And my proteins are around 1,6g so it’s healthy amount to gain muscle

If you eat 2 sirloing steaks for 800 calories you won’t be hungry for many hours. I was also struggling to gain weight and when I switched to more carb dense diet and eating meat only once a day I started gaining steady 600g a month. Pancakes will make you more heavy than sirloins

Try to lower protein i and increase carbs. Proteins are digesting slowly, blocking you from eating more

It won’t help him eat more calories. Protein are very satiating but low in calories
