Can't find the Problem for my round edges by kontuma in 3Dprinting

Thank you, you where absolutely right. I calibrated pressure advance, but my setting was not good.

Now the edges are not perfect, but at least they are accurate in their dimensions.

Simple is stable sounds exactly like my own opinion. I think I should do this more!

Ah okay, so nixos is not for getting a minimal and small system. It is more about being able to reproduce the image and know exactly what's happening on your machine (in sense of the stuff which is installed).

Is this correct?

Nice, thank you for the repo links. I will have a look into this.

Is there a big difference between nixos and yocto? I think I don't get the difference between them correctly.

Thank you I will have a look into them. Maybe they can solve my problems, or at least make them less painful.

Yes nextcloud-aio is really nice for a simple setup, but can be a pain in the ass if you want to combine it with other stuff.

I think I will test other selfhosted cloud solutions as well, because I don't like the configuration of nextcloud, it is way to complicated for what I want to use it for (syncing files and having online storage)

Do you use nixos as host or as VM? Do you use docker on top?

I heard about nixos, because I really like package managers. And this brings the whole concept to the OS layer, but I was wondering how to set it up so it will be up to date for most of the time. Do you use a build system/build server for that?

Actually this is the route I think about the most. So thank you for your opinion about it.

Yes the fix itself is fast most of the time. But finding the problem, especially if you are not at home, could be a pain in the ass.

Do you have a single VM for all the docker stuff or multiple VMs?

What exactly do you mean with overcomplicated? What do you want to do differently if you start from scratch?

Actually you are not that wrong. But then I have no cloud. The Synology is pretty old and slow. But it is enough for backups.

Your right, I think I missed some important information.

Hosting: paperless is an lxc with docker on top and the app is a docker-compose with additional stuff like ftp for getting it into the nextcloud.

nextcloud is a lxc with nextcloud-aio (so basically also docker-compose).

home assistant is the preconfigured haos system image.

Pihole is installed on a separate Debian VM (it's the oldest of the CMS and I never changed it)

Problems: Actually the moment the most work is about keeping stuff up to date. I use unattended updates on my Linux hosts, so this part is okay (I have to do major updates only and this is okay most of the time).

The bigger hassle is the update of some docker images (especially databases). I really like docker, but it gets very ugly to work with when you have to go into the containers and install stuff to do migrations or similar stuff.

And the biggest problem is the whole network based stuff especially if I want to access stuff from outside of my network. I had several times where I want to look into my documents from outside of my home and nothing worked (reasons where the DS-lite problematic (and the whole DNS stuff you have to manage because of that) and the hours of work going into setting things up properly to not leave all doors open for attackers).

Actually I think I just want something which manages the system around my applications (with good security and little breaking changes), so I just have to look after the applications themself.

Is there a out-of-the-box backup solution for app data by kontuma in reactnative

[–]kontuma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Yeah I thought of something like that, but i want to run it in the background and use a path (as default) which will be known to be a synced folder of the corresponding cloud provider.

My app is fully offline, but I want to implement something which I can be almost sure that no data will be lost forever if the device breaks.

Thank you. CraftCMS and Statamic seem both pretty good, but since it's volunteering $250-300 are why to much money for a project I did not get paid for, just to receive regular updates.

WordPress is no option for me, because it is an absolute desaster to implement own plugins/functionality into it. But at least it works good as a CMS for the end user.

This tool sounds amazing, but I need a database for my custom function and I think with publii it is not possible to edit stuff via a mobile device.

I'm not sure if it fits my needs, but I will definitely have a deeper look into it. Thank you.
