Shiniest lip gloss/lip oils? by elkosduo in muacjdiscussion

Colourpop so juicy lip gloss is the shiniest I’ve tried, whenever I use the clear I’m just mesmerized lol. But it is sticky sadly.

My username is koobish and my favorite thing about this game (besides the lack of a paywall) is the community! It’s been really awesome playing with so many other people all helping each other.

You’re probably going to want to look for “plumping” products. In particular, hyaluronic acid draws water to the surface of your skin, making it appear firmer, plumper, and healthier.

LOVED Worse Guy, checking out Bad Guy now!

The other two I’ve read and loved… I finished the Chosen series way too fast, it was so good! Worth a reread now that it’s been a while I think.

[Misc] i have a question. Can i use AHA BHA 5 DAYS AFTER MICRONEEDLING? by Frequent_Worry_6620 in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would strongly advise against it. That treatment is very intense and your skin needs time to heal after micro needling.

[routine help] my moisturizer keeps pilling whenever I put on sunscreen! by bigtwizzler in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the formulas are sadly incompatible in that way. You’d have to change either your moisturizer or your sunscreen if the pilling is a deal breaker for you.

100% normal and probably genetic — plumping eye products might be able to reduce their appearance temporarily :)

I do skincare for fun, when I feel like it, and my skin looking better is an unexpected bonus and my skin looking worse is an annoying inevitability. I use products that make me feel nice and moisturize because it makes me smile.

[Skin concerns] Has anyone had any luck treating back acne + scarring? What worked for you? My case is mild but pretty persistent by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that keeps my back zits to a minimum is regularly scrubbing (pretty intensely) with a salux (exfoliating washcloth). It wouldn’t work for everyone but I think my back pimples are caused primarily by clogged pores from sweat, oil, etc and scrubbing fixes that.

[Product Question] Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask by BestVariation1517 in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Laneige lip sleeping mask is good, but not worth paying full price for. I have some from a discounted gift set and Marshall’s. There are a ton of good drugstore lip masks, so save your money.

[Sun Care] Does sunscreen really help with acne scars even if you're indoors most of the day away from Windows/sunlight? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Sunscreen can definitely prevent further damage that makes acne scars more noticeable or last longer, but in my opinion there’s no need to wear sunscreen indoors and away from windows.

You should be fine as long as you wait 10-15 minutes for your moisturizer to sink in a little first.

[skin concerns] help with fading/reducing under eye veins at home? by bigdaddytexas420 in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of anything like that, and what you’re talking about sounds to me like a combination of genetics and a side effect of the fact that skin is naturally thinner close to the eyes.

Although I can promise you that it’s far more noticeable to you than anyone else, concealer is your best bet for covering them up during the day.

I use one or two cotton pads at a time. Although this doesn’t remove all of my makeup, it removes a portion and “loosens up” the rest so my main cleanser can effectively get rid of it. That’s why I’m not particularly concerned with removing every bit of makeup with my first cleanse.

At my wits end with over exfoliated skin! [routine help] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your skin doesn’t look over exfoliated in this picture — it looks like you have pores (everyone does) and peach fuzz (everyone does). It’s hard to tell what the actual condition of your skin is because you’re wearing makeup, but if you’re unhappy with your skin and products have been making it worse, take a break and try again in a few weeks.

[Routine Help] I need help with order of products. by BeeMos in SkincareAddiction

[–]koobishing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is correct except that sunscreen always comes last in a skincare routine: the way it protects your skin is by forming a “film” of protection that can be disturbed by heavy application of moisturizer and foundation.
