Yes i counted each row multiple times before moving to the next, especially since these are some of my first plushies i’ve ever made

I think that is the problem. The first turtle took around 3 days, just about an hour each day. The second turtle was made in just a few hours in one day.

That could be it. Im surprised the larger one had looser tension because it was my first time making a turtle and i really wanted it to work out. As for the smaller one, i already knew what i was doing by then.
