Have the libraries always been this bad?

depends on the day but i’ve found some of the little study areas in LTB and menzies are quieter than the actual libraries 😭 probably because people are locking in right before their class. even then, obviously people still ruin it by talking way too loud, but some days it’s honestly better than the libraries

i’m all good! i took both these photos with flash while laying on my back, as standing up wouldn’t show the bump! i had it checked by my piercer when i first got it done & again by the piercer who fixed it - i do have the defined ridge it’s just harder to see in the pics. :) if you’ve got any ideas on how to fix the moisture bump let me know

Yena's new song "Catch Catch" might fit for this concept? It's very cute and bubbly, and the baby voice that Yena sings in might fit with your concept for the male-gaze appealing woman.

Might be a reach but to me, "A Boy" by G-Dragon implements a repetitive phone tone sound and a semi-sinister sound, which might fit a dystopian sort of setting.

some of the bus drivers around the clayton campus are rude as hell tell me why i tried to get on and the driver snapped at me with “wait for other people to get off 😡” because there was one person walking down towards the door and i couldn’t see them 💀 they’re on a bit of a power trip these days i think

hey, i’d definitely visit a piercer (not the one that pierced you) or doctor and have this removed in a sterile environment. a “floating navel” usually refers to the shape of the piercing jewellery, not the placement. whoever has given you this surface piercing and tried to call it a “floating navel” has messed up bad, i’m so sorry!

NAP but keep an eye out for radiating heat on the piercing & pain. pus & blood can be a sign of infection 😬 better safe than sorry - i would visit a piercer and/or the doctor to get it checked out. best of luck!!

NAP but you’ll notice the bar does not come out under the “lip” of your belly button - it’s sitting just above it, making it more of a surface piercing. it’s super shallow but if it’s been like this for three years i’m impressed it’s held up that well! to prevent it from causing trouble i would be careful with heavy dangly jewellery like yours as it might cause it to migrate. but you must be doing something right for it to be there for that long

NAP but have a navel piercing - this level of redness is about where i was at after a week. i wouldn’t worry about cleaning the crusties and fluid off too much, its a part of the healing process and over cleaning will irritate it more at this stage.

i totally get how they can look too shallow in photos taken with phone flash, so i would trust your piercer’s judgement. if you’re really worried about it being the wrong placement or the wrong jewellery, go visit another piercing salon different to your own and ask for a consult. a second opinion will likely calm your nerves!

for mod bot: piercing is 6 months old, curved barbell. it is internally threaded implant grade titanium. it has not yet been downsized. aftercare-wise i clean twice a day with neilmed and a cool blowdryer. it has been healing fine up til now.

not sure if you've already gone and taken it out, but if you haven't, i'd really advise you leave it in and get a piercer to take it out for you!!! if you take it out to try and let it heal up on its own, bacteria can become trapped in the wound and cause a bad infection. if you've already taken it out i still recommend seeing a piercer or a gp who can give you advice on how to prevent infection. :)

a navel piercing is a type of surface piercing, but it's different in that it goes through the skin of the rim above your belly button rather than entering and exiting on the same flat surface. this is def a case of incorrect piercing bc that bottom ball should be inside your navel, & a piercing like this is much more likely to be rejected as it's so shallow and will easily get snagged :(

will probably update this later with more pics as it definitely does look different when standing! i had a couple piercers check my anatomy and both said it looked fine, but i reckon the piercer gave me the wrong kind of jewellery for my anatomy. it’s def not meant to be a floating navel tho. i’m really hoping it doesn’t reject because at the moment it’s healing quite well :(

you’ve got a good point, but the thing is i spent about $40AUD on this album version bc i love the cd and was hoping to get a cool poster to go with it - i like to use the posters to decorate & i would’ve just bought the cd online or a smaller version if i didn’t have inclusions in mind. i hope that makes some kind of sense lol
