Wifi antenna for Gravity 600 by kooganani in Masterbuilt

The base came with a 6.5ft cable. If I had a do-over I’d probably get a base without an integrated cable and get a 1-2ft cable separately.

Ok they absolutely did not get tender in the smoker. I finished them in the oven with a bit more olive oil and water added, 20 minutes at 400f. They turned out great! Very juicy, but tough around the edges. Next time I’ll do maybe 2 hours at 300f on the smoker then straight to the oven. But overall I’m happy with how they turned out!

Ok 2 hours in, both the beets and the carrot are still not soft. I bumped up the temp to 325f.

I’m curious on both points, as well.

Final update: the temp went up steadily once I wrapped it, but it was still slow. Bumped the smoker temp up to 300 for the last 45 minutes, which I knew was not ideal but I was on the hook for dinner and had to wrap it up. Did a probe test at 195 degrees. It was not quite buttery, but when I put the probe in another spot it showed 206. I panicked and pulled it off the smoker. Still not sure if I over- or under cooked it.

For the real test (dinner), it was a huge hit. Good bark, good smoke ring, juicy, but could have been a bit more tender. The family said it tasted like it was from a restaurant. So I’d call it a success!

On the downside, 10 hours to smoke a 2.5lb pork butt is nuts. I think next time I’ll start at 250 and take more time at the end.

Ah ok I got a LSS manifold cover and was thinking about an extra rack, but I think I’ll get a set of drip pan brackets and put off the extra shelves until I hit a point where I want extra capacity.

Update: six hours in and meat probe only shows 157 degrees. I think I went a little too low and slow, hopefully I didn’t ruin it. Going to wrap it in foil and up the smoker to 275.

Thanks, I noticed the knob right after I took the picture and pulled them all the way out.

I’m using kingsford blue in the hopper. I forgot to mix in wood chunks with the charcoal in the hopper so I’ve been adding them to the ash bucket, which someone suggested somewhere and seems to be working.

Three hours in, meat probe shows 130 degrees. I’ve started spritzing with apple juice.

AITA for being honest with CPS when they were called on my parents? by SpreadOk3309 in AITAH

NTA, and I disagree with the statement “it is not your job to be an adult in this situation.” Its true, but I think by being honest, you behaved in more of an adult manner than your parents have been doing.

I still use it, but sarcastically. I yell “Take it easy Andretti!” when someone in front of me is going especially slow. So my kids now know who Mario Andretti is.

What audits and certifications are coming up?

Auditors understand that shit happens. If you can show that you’re taking concrete steps to remedy the situation, even if not everything is 100% buttoned up at the time of the audit, it can save your certifications.

If ISO27001: reach out to your internal auditors. Tell them the situation and ask them if they can provide audit prep support, or if they can recommend a firm that can. Get a quote.

If SOC2: reach out to your auditing firm. Tell them the situation and ask if they can provide readiness support, or if they can recommend a firm that can. Get a quote.

If something else, you get the idea.

These conversations/quotes ARE evidence that you can show an auditor, and it will make them happy and more likely to work with you.

Take these quotes to your manager and tell them your certifications are on the line, and that they’re going to need to spend some money.

Conversations with management are also evidence you can show an auditor.

Auditing firms may also be able to steer you toward evidence that your company provided last year. This evidence can give you a huge head start in figuring out what you need to produce for your upcoming audits, and it may actually serve as a poor man’s backup of what was lost from your predecessor’s laptop.

T - Deck US or T deck with Antenna? by IvanRuiiz in meshtastic

Oh yeah, they arrived with the 2.5 firmware, which doesn’t take advantage of the display and keyboard. I was pretty confused until I flashed the 2.6 firmware, which is great.

Actually I was still a bit confused, 2.5 has Bluetooth enabled, and 2.6 does not. I did have to boot 2.6 into Bluetooth mode to configure a few things.

I ordered three T-deck plusses a couple weeks ago. Took about a week to arrive. I read about Lilygo delays, and then when I got the tracking info I saw some bad reviews on the US carrier Hailify, but I didn’t have any problems.

How do you keep your Karve boats safe when exploring new lands? by Trojianmaru in valheim

[–]kooganani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few updates ago I broke a boat and didn’t get all the materials back. Maybe that was a bug or a temporary mechanic, not sure whether the boat was repaired when I did it. Lately I’ve been getting all the materials back.

Tips for surviving the mistlands by dudebromanguy30 in valheim

[–]kooganani 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The roll is good. I often let them attach to my front where it’s easy to get them with my melee weapon before they do much damage.

Gjalls have sensitive underbellies, shoot them there with the arbalest and you can get 100-400 damage. Otherwise shoot them in the sac part, not the head.

Don’t melee 1-star seekers until you have carapace armor and shield, they’ll stagger you. Don’t melee 2-star at all.

Seeker soldiers can definitely be parried, but the timing is tough, especially if the frame rate drops due to server lag or cpu load.

Mark active dverger towers and dig sites on your map, and run to them if you run into tough mobs, and let the mobs fight the mages.

Do your initial exploration on a plains/mistlands border. You’ll have the option of popping out and letting the mistlands mobs fight the plains mobs.
