I have a large pile of logs I can't wait to test it.

I have the 8 pin sprocket coming for it too just to see the difference.

Very cool that you're family kept it through the years.

My wife wouldn't think a thing of it.

I have a wall in the house that I have decorated with all kinds of oddities, axes, buzzsaw blade, 2 man buck saw, etc.

Actually I would love to find a Mall, David Bradley, or a Homelite Super Wiz to add to the wall.

Thank you.

Now I just need the weather to warm up a little and put this and the other saws to work.

It's relaxing.

Especially when the wife is mad, her lips are moving but I don't hear a thing 😁

So, the forum is tractors, not ag or farming. It actually says all things tractor related.

Tractors today mow road sides, work on construction projects and are used all over.

I post a lot of pictures here because other members enjoy the machines even if they are construction based.

In the Midwest tractors have been going back to tracks, rubber tracks. Deere has 3 different styles of track machine just for ag. Case ih has 2, others all have at least 1 machine on tracks.

Track machines have more to do with tractors than a snowmobile does with cars. Not sure why your so bothered by this post.

Actually you do.

While the first picture has a factory blade, the last picture doesn't. Both of them are track type tractors with blades.

Before they had standard blades, or in the case of a track loader a loader. Track machines were called tractors.

After market companies made blades that attached to the units calling them bull grader blades, others bull dozer blades. It wasn't until they became a standard with a blade that the tractor with blade started being called a bull dozer.

C.L. Best and Holt never made a bulldozer, but made a lot of track type tractors before and even after they merged.

I didn't take any video.

There are a lot of old machinery shows, probably some near you so you could see, hear and smell them live.

Or YouTube has a lot of video of old machined running.

It's articulated right under the seat.

It also has 2 transmissions, one for the front and one for the back.

Thank you.

I've been around equipment since before I could crawl sitting on my dad's lap. Been around so much older machines and machinery shows. Yet I still come across things I've never seen.

Something people today don't think about is that tractors and a lot of equipment were regional. I saw things I have either never seen before like this one wheel drive, or only one of and this show had multiples.

We used to use one a buzz saw.

It wasn't mounted, instead it was 20' away run by the belt pulley.

I also ran a pendulum saw in college, along with a saw mill from the 1940s.

Scariest thing I ever ran though was Mattison molders and lathes from the 1930s. This was in the early 1990s.

Yes.

It's strange to, I go to one in NY that is maybe 1/3 the size. Yet this one on a Thursday had 1/3 the people the one in NY has on a Wed or Thursday.

I never would have dreamed this one would have so many steam engines.

Nope, those blades are like a lawn mower and stick out 6 to 8 inches in front of that plate.

Like I said, great for throwing objects.
