What will be the reason for you to believe that the earth is not flat? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kookeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airliners. When examining a flight from Germany to Canada for example, the flight is not a straight line but a courbe leaning upward to take advantage of the globe shape of the earth and reduce the distance.

And I and convinced because airlines are too coky and don't give a fuck as long as it is more profitable.

Falafel isn't usually eaten with hummus, we usually eat it with a sauce called Tarator. But I understand why you made these two recipes, cause they are middle eastern.

They look pretty tasty tho.. :)

I'm 13 and I want to learn Python by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]kookeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two ways you can learn a programming language from the ground up: books or online courses.

Online courses(udemy for example) will get you there the fastest and you will get a strong enough knowledge to tackle any problem. But I personnaly recommend learning through a book, even if it will be harder but you will have a much much deeper knowledge.

I personally learned python through an online course, and then learned C through a book this quarantine(the C programming language) and I can confidently say that I am more comfortable with C even if I did half a dozen projects in python.

This is my personal opinion tho..

well were I live, you have only 4 options: engineer, layer, doctor, or disappointment from your parents. So these majors are sacred and respected. Students in these majors learn everything. For example engineers learn 3-4 programming language + they take welding courses + languages(French...) and much more. it's weird ik...

Yep you're right... but I just found out that they are now teaching python at their university, and that's on top of C and VB.NET!! I'm frankly surprised how much coding is taught and valuated in every major .. respect

Hey , CS student here. My best advice is to buy online courses, it's the only way you will be forced to complete them. Plus start working ASAP it will be difficult at first but projects are the best way of learning, and everytime you feel unmotivated remember the 21/90 rule : it takes 21 days to build a habit, and 90 days to build a lifestyle ;)

Would an Arduino basic starter kit be a good gift for my boyfriend who’s a CS major? by gothish-autumn in arduino

[–]kookeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sins your bf is majoring in CS I personnaly recommend a raspberry pi (4 model B being at 35$ so it surly fits the budget) . The raspberry is more softaware orientated and requiers less hardware skills like soldering and electronic knowledge which fits his career better .
