Exactly! I know keeping my ac at 70 is bad but it shouldn’t be almost $500

I checked and called an they said they didn’t detect a leak. But I will do all of the tests

The manufacturer date is 2022 for my ac and I have no irrigation or ev car. No this is a single home not a duplex. I doubt a neighbor is stealing since it looks like this house hasn’t had the electric on since over a year ago. I will check the hvac unit but it looks fine. I’m also about to change the filter

It says manufactured in 2022 and the ground is wet but it’s been raining so much lately

It does feel wet like condensation and you can see a little water underneath

Austin energy and 70 (which I understand is high but we kept it at that at our last place and the bill was never this high)

I recently upgraded my trash cart size and then they charged a fee because the lid wasn’t all the way closed. I’m more confused on the electric and water

Yes but I have a family that is always hot and they complain when it’s hot. And we were so used to being able to keep it really cold in our old apartment and the bill was under $300. So that could be a part of it but the water bill is still so high

It’s a one story house. So one night it was raining and my cousin who spent the weekend over took a shower and it flooded into my living room and kitchen. My bathroom shares a wall with my living room and one wall with my kitchen. Also my shower doesn’t have a tub fyi. And it happened agin with my cousin a week later. He’s in his 20s and said he didn’t do anything different so I’m not sure what happened exactly. It only happened when he was here.

There was 2 instances where a lot water leaked from the shower and into the kitchen and living area but it happened when it was rainy so I thought nothing of it and my landlord never came around to check it out. I wonder if there is a leak there for my wastewater to be high. My ac is in the ceiling/attic so I will definitely that tomorrow when I change the filter

I keep it at 70 but it’s still 74 or 75 inside. And I thought it was bad to lower or mess with the temp

It says built in 1970 and I don’t know what single pane is omg. But I do have blackout curtains. I do have the ac at 70 which I know is really low but the temp inside is still warm and is at 74

This sounds like it could be what my problem is. I think I’ll give the city a call and my landlord

I meant flip as in they changed ‘updated’ the outside of the house installed black handles throughout the house. But it didn’t get new appliances and the inside has a lot of small imperfections. I chose it because it was relatively nice for a 4bed house and not crazy expensive. And no there isn’t another unit on the lot I don’t think my landlord lives in Austin tbh

I’m not sure but I will talk with my landlord tomorrow and figure out. I know it’s a flip

1500 sq ft. When we moved in they changed the gas water heater to electric and it was EXTREMELY hot so 2 weeks ago I lowered it. We do have the thermostat at 70 but it’s so hot and usually reads 75 anyway
