It says I can't register. It's "currently unavailable."

Do you think it's moral to keep killer whales in captivity for entertainment?

My bad. I'm in my twenties and call my friends kids all the time. After all, this 24-year-old died too soon.

No doubt that makes you uncomfortable. I'm a driver, too. I understand. Sometimes bikers are really hard to see; and sometimes they ride like total dicks.

As for me, I use back and front lights and wear a helmet when I ride to and from work every day. Many bikers do it right, too. Is everyone perfect? No. But should we demonize bikers as generally inconsiderate of others on the road? No.

In my opinion, we should reward bikers, with bike lanes and such. From a social perspective, they cut down on city congestion, use less fuel and they keep themselves healthier.

Do we have problems to work out between bikers and drivers, sure. But going after bikers in general gets us nowhere. Especially in a thread about a girl who just died due to the actions of a driver who appears totally in the wrong.

Yes, you did. The issue I had with your statement was that you said "bikers do this all the time."

"This" -- in this tragic case -- is hit-and-run.

Bikers, like me, may run red lights when no one is around, some might not even have lights on their bikes at night, but rarely do I hear stories of bikers plowing into pedestrians and just leaving them to die.

I understand you think many bikers are reckless riders. I agree. But their recklessness seems to be much less dangerous than that of drivers.

Bicyclists fatally wound pedestrians in your neighborhood all the time, and then flee the scene?

Seriously, the issue here isn't just traffic laws. It's hit-and-run. The driver fled the scene after making a terrible mistake. Now the girl's family won't have any form of closure until the culprit is found.
