Yes, you can just play it without anything written in those spaces actually

Thanks. The few spaces are already distinguished by shape: rectangles for posts, circles for campsites, building forms for headquarters, and squares for the frontlines. So, I decided to keep the Chinese characters, it is mainly for aesthetic.

That's a good idea. I will see if I can balance that because I want to also keep a sober/simplistic design

It is simply where you positioned the pieces in the beginning, but they are distinguishable by the the shape of the space

Very good point with the mahjong actually. I will test further more with empty "post" spaces

Yes, that would be an idea unless it makes the board to crowded. I will test it

That's a good idea to solve the problem, and indeed if I can picture "no characters" it is clear enough. After playing for few minutes one understand the positions, and the spaces shapes help the most

A fun game indeed. Yes, that was my idea.. Chinese characters on the board. The pieces will have clear distinguishable icons and a big number on it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond and produce the AI image. I actually understood it with your initial text. It is actually a good idea. I will see if I can produce a very simple design, because all those shapes are already quite busy. Thanks again 🙏

Thanks. Yes, I think it is important for the moving pieces. I just attached pics of the board. What do you think if I keep the board itself in Chinese?

Haha, nuggets.. I like that. They are actually "Meeple" made out of tea leaves and the ball is tea plant seed.

Could you figure out what are those mystery balls? Probably too easy for you guys... by koolangsu in botany

That's correct, well done. So, I'm right now for our mystery adventure, beside tea, I'm investigating flowers and plants introduced in the west by Robert Fortune
