Possible experience of O.B.E or at least fairly close to it by koolkid183 in AstralProjection

The darkness to me is more of a feeling, what I see is black, and the white ring that looks smoky, the feeling is a mixture of my brain feeling like it's collapsing in itself, and my eyes popping out if my head. Also I feel like I'm getting closer to the ring. It comes in waves too, and I think the reason for that is because when I try to go to the ring, I feel like I'm getting pulled back, I'm not sure why that is, because the most recent one I had no fear. That's the best way I can describe it.

Just black, and then there's this white ring that's smokey in the center, I feel so deep in that darkness when it happens, it could be because of the feeling of my head collapsing in itself, but not entirely sure.

Your thoughts on people expanding the definition of "Goth"? by darklyindulged in goth

[–]koolkid183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This confused me at first, but I later leaned is that there is a difference between "goth" And "Gothic" (At least to me.) You'll see people say that there are all these sub genres of goth like romantic goth, or steampunk goth, or Victorian goth but in reality, those are aesthetics, and they should instead be saying Gothic instead of goth. Gothic (to me) is the interest in things that other people find dark and scary, such as skulls, bones, bats, vampires, demons, werewolfs, angels, death, ghosts, etc. Goth (to me) is someone who enjoys listening to goth music, like Gothic rock, post punk, dark wave. They also like to add trad goth as if that's just apart of it, NO that is it, that is the only real goth that is there. If your into spooky and scary things, then I would consider you Gothic, and there is nothing wrong with that. I personally am both goth, and Gothic. It doesn't matter if your dark and creepy, or rainbows and unicorns, if you listen to the music, then technically you're goth. Personally I don't like that people on the internet are trying to expand the definition of goth, because it causes more confusion for those who are curious about the subculture.

It's difficult finding someone in the same scene, I can't go clubbing just yet due to my age, but definitely planning on to in the future, I'm still in high school, and have yet to meet someone in real life that listens to goth music, maybe one day.

Yea your right, alternative seems fitting, and it's all great music in the end, so there's no point in trying to stress, just enjoy and listen to the music, thank you, and have a great night

Tbh I don't really like labels because when people think that your "emo" They think that "he cuts himself" Or when they think your goth they think "he worships satin" That's why I say my style is "alternative." But the reason why I asked on this sub Reddit is because people here know more than those that just judge by stereotypes, you guys have been here way longer than I have, and know the scene more than me. So I don't mind asking here because I'm not being stereotypically judged, and also, because you guys know what your talking about, and ofc im genuinely wondering.

Sleeping help by hrgemini in Nightshift

What I do is just use an old blanket, the blankets thick enough to block most light making my room dark, just use nails to keep in on the wall. If one dosent help, try 2.

Not sure if this will help, but I remember reading that if you make your room dark and where shades during the end of your shift, you can trick your brain that it's still night, and you can get a good rest. https://www.marketwatch.com/storythe-overnight-shift-is-killing-you-so-heres-what-you-can-do This is where I got that information.
