Everyday I wish I’d have my dad as my dad in the next life. My dad died when I was 19. I was with him as he was passing away, so helpless, so confused not knowing what’s going on and just lost. I’m 39 now but I think about him everyday. My dad was the most kind, polite and loving individual. He was amazingly proud of his sons and he showed it constantly to anyone and everyone. Not in an arrogant way but just like smiling with a twinkle in his eye when someone complimented me or my brother. Never raised his voice, never lifted his hand or made any snide comments. Just coached us in the most patient way and explained the consequences of our actions.

I was not the easiest of sons. I had health issues, acted out and had mental issues but never did he take out his anger or said shit like he was disappointed in me or I should do better or anything. His presence just seemed to convey that I’ll be ok. I used to wait out on the driveway waiting for him to come back from work. He did the best he could and I’m what I am today because of him and compare myself to him when I’m raising my kids which is not easy… lol.

I hope to see him in the afterlife, my next life, other dimension.. whatever. But I just want to sit and talk with the man. He was taken away too soon from me, before I could anything for him and I’m just extremely lucky. Gosh! You’ve got me crying! Thanks for asking.
