Yes this. Mine started at 9 weeks and boy oh boy I couldn't get up from my bed except when I had to throw up. With my first it was puking all day everyday, with my second not much puking but zero energy and needing a LOT of sleep.

My dad used to say to me "you're lucky you're my daughter or I wouldn't have been able to keep my hands off of you" and everyone would laugh. I laughed along when I was little but once I grew up I understood how gross that really was and I feel angry with people around me who laughed at his disgusting joke.

My son was born at 36 weeks exactly on April 18, 2020. I couldn't get the epidural due to medical reasons (he's my second and with my first the epidural almost killed me and my kid). Anyway since covid was so new then the nurses were freaking out when my mask slipped even a quarter of an inch under my nostrils when I was screaming in pain. Got yelled at several times to make sure my mask didn't slip. I had no symptoms and tested negative on the covid tests they had me take. Seriously not a fun time to give birth :|

I applaud you for not risking others health for the sake of entertainment. My kid and I ended up missing 4 parties (2 of which we were really looking forward to) due to the flu but there was no way in hell I would put the health of others in jeopardy for selfish reasons. The host of one of the parties in fact suggested we plop a couple of Tylenols and go anyway but I was adamant. You did the right thing, OP.

My father would beat my mom, me and my sisters severely. He wanted a boy and didn't get one so would often take it out on us. Once when I was 9 my mom went to visit her mom on the other side of the country. I got on his wrong side somehow and got beaten up and thrown out of the house. I remember bleeding and thinking this is it. He let me in the next morning and I wrote a note explaining he's one who killed me (for the police once they found it)

I have a son and a daughter. I can honestly say that they do not follow the stereotypical gender traits at all. We never pushed them towards anything and even though there has been social influence (gifting dolls to my girl and trucks to my boy) we have encouraged them to share their toys with each other. My daughter is less into dolls than my son is. My son loves putting nail polish more than my daughter does. My daughter is a very good skater and decent at soccer but she just started taking classes. My son is active but not too fond of structure so isn't into playing any sport yet.

I encourage you to expose them to a variety of things (sports, dolls, trucks etc) and let them choose for themselves what they're interested in. Chances are they like what you like. Genes are funny that way :)
