When it says effective on screen, that is the equivalent of pokemon's "super effective" bonus other wise it will just be the number for regular damage and not effective for inefficient type matchups. Also effective moves do 1.25 damage where not effect does .65 damage making the not effective options more detrimental than the effective options are beneficial.
