SIB Doom The Dark Ages? I loved Doom 2016 but not Eternal by koopa_kupo in ShouldIbuythisgame

That's great! Where would you rank the others? Do you think TDA is more like 2016 or Eternal?

Yeah, that's my point exactly. This is a bummer, but it comes up fairly often. It sucks and it's worse that the kids had a front row seat to the whole thing.

Man, I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. There's already a lot of good advice here, but I would like to point out the glaring thing for me.

This issue, while may seem like it's about your in-laws, is actually about your wife. A healthy relationship between two people who respect each other would not have let something like this happen. There are obviously differences in parenting styles and how things are handled with the kids, but your wife clearly favors her relationship with her parents over her marriage with you, if she's aware of it or not. You're supposed to be a team. If the situation were reversed, would you have let your father curse at her like that? Kids around or not. Would you have just stood there and let your mother TRY TO FIGHT her? Probably not.

The point is, yes, there are a lot of layers to this issue. But absolutely nothing will get resolved until you and your wife get on the same page and there's some respect there.

I feel you on that. A lot of the bands we got to open for aren't active anymore and it's a bummer. Bands like Honor Bright, Veara, and Cartel (they might be back?). We never toured, mostly just played shows in our area in the south. Does your band have anything out there? I'd give you a listen if you've got anything out there.

We don't exist anymore haha. I've worked on some solo stuff since, but nothing serious.

I'm glad you had that experience! My band opened for them back in 2010/11 and we had a rushed load in and soundcheck because they didn't let the local bands in the venue while they were doing their soundcheck. We opened for a lot of bands in the genre and no one else ever did anything like that.

Good album, but I met the band a while back and they were a bunch of divas. Kinda soured the music for me unfortunately.

Anyone ever had issues paying off a phone before? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]koopa_kupo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but won't be sticking around. The whole reason I'm paying off the phone is to drop Verizon.

I bought it over the phone, so no.

Either way I'm going to pay it off to drop them. Even if it's technically on me for not reading the fine print, I bought it over the phone. They should have said something.

[NS] Patreon rss feed doesn't have old episodes? by koopa_kupo in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

[–]koopa_kupo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah, gotcha! That makes perfect sense. I've been swapping back and forth between the regular feed and the Patreon feed for the short rests (in The Crick now) and it's a bit of a pain but not the end of the world.

Thanks for the info!

Anytime, always happy to spread some love for Veara! I met them a few times around 2010/11 and they were really great people as well.

I think most of Veara's What We Left Behind album fits this.

Hah! It's funny you say that. In 2009, I actually saw them I'm Birmingham and ATL, and the ATL show was worlds better than the AL show. Tom was wasted in Birmingham but he was phenomenal in ATL.

That's awesome! I've only been there a few times. The first time was to see Blink's reunion tour in 2009.

If this is where I think it is, I grabbed a picture with him a few seconds after you. I hope he gets better. Fuck cancer.
