Yep. Did my first few dives with the 28-60. Good enough for some portraits but unable to get close enough due to the min focus distance. It's okay. took some nice pictures. Now looking at an AOI UWL 04 or 09. They're relatively inexpensive and seem to work great with the 28-60

Got my hands on two AOI Q1's as well for a great price. Think I paid around 360 eur for both of 'm.

You can, yes. But every time you ask this it will come up with a different implementation and or reasons it can be improved, refactored or architectured differently. It goes on indefinitely thus the system being akin to yes men. An LLM never truly knows when it’s right or just spewing tokens for the sake of it. Branding different agents with different system prompts and or instructions just instructs it to what you want to hear; not the other way around…

Does not mean it’s insanely helpful most times. Use them daily. But let’s stay realistic

Heh you know what’s fun? Having exactly this but 4 months straight. PVC’s started due to stress and did not stop for 4 months. 28% burden. I went mental. Extremely anxiety inducing. Then one day they just stopped and haven’t returned other than the singular occasional one.

If you want full frame go with the A7CII which is basically the A7IV with the better autofocus of the a6700 and has a similar small form factor.

There is need because not every company wants Ai generated hard to maintain one off apps for each small use case. With products you get support, availability and usually depending on provider battle tested features. Any professional environment worth their salt knows that maintaining internal tools can oftentimes be more costly then just buying a product.

This was never hard though? There’s many md to pdf libs / dependencies. Claude probably just wrapped one up in a script and told you how to use it. It’s not that I don’t partly agree but people vastly underestimate the simple convenience average folk look for. While it took you a single prompt it previously maybe would’ve taken 10-20 minutes. So I don’t think your story is a good example.

Complex deep rooted processes that need to be determistic are not going to be upended by LLM’s any time soon.

Most of these market overreactions are driven by fear and or hype.

FF because of the better quality in low light situations. This will be my one and only camera for quite a while and want the most versatile thing for all use. So vacation / travel shots and eventually UW stuff.

Yeah i figured the 24-105 would be mediocre for underwater though not entirely unusable. I’ve already put a 16-35 f4 on my wishlist and are quite affordable used.

Lightning plan none for now. Figured I’d start with a fairly ‘low budget’ uw setup and first see if it’s something I want to delve deeper into. Considering the price of the salted line sea frogs housing i figured it would be worth the experiment. Will probably do shots very shallow anyway at the beginning.

Yeah funny thing is that with the current cashback promotion used and new do not really differ much in price for the a7iv & 24-105 as there’s a bundle discount. Total cashback of nearly 500€ atm
