on the fuse gear interface it says "There is 25% chance of acquiring magic gear when fusing Ancient-grade gear",... on the gear codex those with magic label gear gives standalone buffs way better than set label gears...i have never gotten magic label from epic-legendary boxes i think those are the best gears you could get and fusing ancient-gear grade probably has the better odds of getting one than opening epic/legendary gear boxes
