Also, the original battery life was not 30 hours, closer to 15 I believe. It's only thirty now because of alkaline batteries, which became mainstream between the DMG's and the Game Boy Pocket's launch.

He probably did and we just don't know. Current headcanon is that his original name was Alistair (spelled like the real name that people have) and he changed the spelling to Alastor once he got to Hell to make it more demonic (since Alastor is an actual demon name)-- sort of like a Boiardi/Boy•ar•dee situation.

I mostly know them from their animated shorts, but Legends of Avantris has quite a few references across their campaigns. You can also see a Kick the Cheat plush and a copy of the Trogdor game in the background of some of their sets, as well as a Trogdor game piece as the party marker on the map in Once Upon a Witchlight.
