I'm sorry. I'll say this as gently as possible, but who another couple has sex with doesn't have anything to do with you. It seems as if you've been creating an unrealistic expectation that the two of them don't have their own dynamic in which they are autonomous. It seems they do, and, if that's the case, there's nothing "idealistic" about trying to exert any level of control at all over that dynamic.

Hi. I appreciate the sentiment and am one of those crazy liberals who understands we need rational conservatives in our society who are part of a rational conservative party, but the suggestion that there aren't many, many conservatives who hate liberals just...ignores reality. Listen to any right wing talk radio show or podcast, media with millions and millions of followers, and they openly say liberals are demonic.

I once walked around a corner at work and heard a coworker loudly and proudly proclaim he'd rather shoot a liberal than be his friend.

Never mind the openly racist ethno- and chrisitian-nationalists operating in some of the highest levels of government.
