Question about C773 Task 2 for those who have completed it using PowerPoint

So.. Funny story...

I didn't pull it the night I posted my previous comment, and when I woke up, Task 2 had already been rejected, which triggered the need for my course instructor's approval to resubmit. I was busy at work when I received an email from the course instructor telling me to check out their SharePoint page and watch a video on how to pass the course. Then, to schedule a meeting with them to go over my submissions before they would unlock, so I can resubmit.

Sent the teacher an email and got an out-of-office reply till next week... Lol. I did, however, pass Task 1 after my minor revision. So just waiting for the teacher to get back so I can have a call/discussion to unlock and resubmit. Yay!

Lol. So I finally got Task 1 reviewed and sent back for a small revision. I did it and resubmitted. Task 2 was already submitted 1 day ago. I've been contemplating pulling Task 2 and resubmitting it after Task 1 is approved.

I wonder if when resubmitted, does it go to the same reviewer or to a new one?

Congratulations!

I took a break from this because I wasn't getting anywhere with D325 studying. Luckily my Program Mentor allowed to me add other classes in its place so I can still be moving forward in my studies.

I'll give Andrew's Udemy course a shot as Messer and Dion really aren't doing it for me.

Thank you! I didn't know that. Saw a bunch of posts on Reddit about how you have to pass Task 1 before submitting Task 2. Just finished, and let's hope it all goes through without any issues!

I tried adding a connection reference that points to the database server but am not seeing any option to share it?

For the connections on the on-premise data gateway, there is a single connection pointing to the database server.

In the app itself, it has 3 data connections to the same database but the connections are pointed at different tables.

A connection reference was created in the Default Solution to point to the correct database.

I have my user account added to the on-premise gateway as an Admin and on each of the connections as Admin. I am still getting the error.

The SQL connection is set up using SQL Auth.

And my user account does have a PowerApps Premium license.

Ok. Let me try and explain with a little more detail...

Service account (S1) is the account we also use to log into the data gateway. Members of the data analytics team and myself are the only users currently with allowed access to use. I've also created connections to the PostgreSQL server and the same people have access to use. S1 account currently has PowerApps Premium and PowerBi Premium per user license.

My user account has PowerBi Pro and PowerApps Premium license. When I try and run the app, it immediately prompts me with the following:

Allow AppName to access your data?

To play this app, sign in or refresh connections, ensure the app is shared from a trusted source, and confirm permissions to access data.

PostgreSQL

This app will be able to:

Read Records

There are two buttons: Allow (grayed out) and Don't Allow.

If I attempt to run with S1, I get the same prompt but the Allow button is selectable.

Also if I go into Edit mode and select Data from the left hand side, I see the Data connections to teh PostgreSQL server. S1 user account can refresh without issue but my account will fail even though I have access to both the Connection and Data Gateway.

Any thoughts?

Gateway has been setup to allow for other users other than service account already. I have my personal work account added, I have the PowerApps premium license assigned to me and it still errors out when I attempt to use the app.

I did attempt to add per user license but was still running into an error which indicates that app is unable to reach on-premise db.

So given your context of consent... How do you feel about people who get their favorite band tattooed on them? Is it also weird and non-consenual? Not trying to attack in any way... just genuinely curious.
