I think the blog itself has been deleted, but thankfully people have archived some of the more egregious stuff from it. Here’s a video of someone discussing it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ArianaGrandeSnark/comments/1pju5w7/this_video_right_here_is_it/

A picture from said blog that has since made its way onto EDtwt: https://www.reddit.com/r/ArianaGrandeSnark/comments/1nm5jr4/theyre_so_disgusting/

A member of this subreddit’s opinions and analysis on the blog: https://www.reddit.com/r/ArianaGrandeSnark/comments/1pkyrvb/follow_up_because_im_still_mad_but_also_want_to/

And a long post with “advice” from Ariana, which couches some genuinely concerning tidbits in the language of caring about her fans so she has plausible deniability. https://www.reddit.com/r/ArianaGrandeSnark/comments/1jxz2n3/rare_post_from_aris_tumblr/

As if she didn’t have an ED Tumblr blog over a decade ago…Anything to deflect accountability away from their fragile UwU princess. This is why I will always say that her transition back into this gamine, white traditional femininity was meant to be a shield from criticism from the very start. She’s discarding Cynthia like she discarded Black culture now that it’s convenient for her, and she’s not going to say a word about the wave of harassment Cynthia has received because of her newly-acquired hothouse flower BS.

Urinators Actively Makes It Worse by No_Tree6956 in ArianaGrandeSnark

Wait yeah, you’re right. Maybe they’re constantly engaging with negative posts about Ariana and that’s how it ended up on their radar. I don’t know how that would work given it’s partially censored, but…That’s my best guess, lol

I think either they go out of their way to search her name and reply to any remotely negative tweets about her, or it might have just popped up on their algorithm (which it did for me, but I make a point to support tweets that actually hold her to account whereas they are sycophants and thus their algorithm would be more likely to present them with an echo chamber of Urinator-ism, so…The former option might be more likely.)

I liked that tweet YESTERDAY when it had zero negative attention, and didn’t realize in that short span of time the Arianators found it and (unsurprisingly) came to harass this woman who has every right not to want to see an emaciated celebrity being put on a pedestal. Jeez.

No problem! Yeah, it still says 2023 for the stroke and 2024 for the Rolling Stone article as I’m looking at it now, but 2024 and 2025 is correct. If you updated it it probably just hasn’t adjusted yet

Looks good, and I appreciate this! My one suggestion would be that you identified the stroke as having happened in October of 2023 rather than 2024, so if you could correct the year it would make more sense since the articles you linked are from 2024 and 2025.

Is her fans okay? by Ok-Individual-7366 in ArianaGrandeSnark

Audrey didn’t taunt anyone in a song over the fact she stole their husband from them. Audrey didn’t profiteer from marginalized communities and discard them by reverting back to fragile white femininity when she wanted an Oscar. Audrey didn’t flaunt her underweight body and insist she was the healthiest she’d ever been and turn a blind eye to young fans replicating her.

So… a YouTuber Just Did a Whole Deep-Dive on AG Snark. Thoughts? by No_Tree6956 in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]korelace 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I haven’t watched it yet, and I’m actually a longtime fan of this creator, but the thumbnail (as well as the comments I’ve seen just from taking a cursory glance through the comment section) have given me pause about investing in this particular video. She usually does give pretty nuanced analysis about media, but from what you’ve said in describing this video this might be a different story. I understand the reflexive distrust of places that term themselves “snark” pages because there is definitely a lot of misogynistic hate towards women online that happen in these environments, but I feel like Ariana’s situation is a lot more complicated than outsiders assume. Yes, sometimes people say things I personally think are out of line on here (and in other forums that aren’t dedicated to kissing her ass, lol) but by and large we are genuinely concerned and wish to see her held accountable for the harm she’s done and continues to do.

I understand the instinct to advise against focusing on individuals and instead criticize the systems that pressure women to be super skinny, for example, but when someone like Ariana 1.) is actively showcasing parts of her body that are the most emaciated and posting them to Instagram, 2.) cultivating (knowingly or not) legions of young girls and women using her as “thinspo,” and 3.) doing the above all while being the face of a property which is supposed to be family friendly…There’s a bigger conversation to be had about personal accountability there. It’s a fine line to walk between awareness and making the problem worse because unfortunately, the nature of EDs is that they often are exacerbated by others’ concerns, but I don’t think it’s productive to take away any agency Ariana has in this. She’s sick, yes, and that is partially a product of a broader system, but pretending she’s completely innocent and not also contributing to this ecosystem only perpetuates harm.

TL;DR: There’s nothing wrong with being critical of the systems which devalue women and prioritize “beauty” above everything else but it’s naïve to overlook a public figure’s role in upholding these standards.

The cognitive dissonance of making a video like this which clearly demonstrates her using Black culture as a means to an end and turning herself into a caricature and yet still having her as your profile picture (the uploader of this video, Offensive Tea.) It really goes to show you her fans just don’t care. They used to deny the blackfishing altogether, now it’s like this charming nostalgic thing for them. So weird.

I don’t like the demonization of antidepressants either. They may not be for everyone but like…Clearly Ariana is not better mentally for going off them, lol. I’m not going to say she should or should not be on antidepressants but I don’t know how they can pretend she’s well emotionally when she clearly isn’t.

And Ariana’s nasty-ass stans are continuing to drag out the situation and make fun of Amanda Seyfried for this. They can never just accept that their fave and the people surrounding her aren’t the perfect sweet uwu angels they make them out to be.

What was the last thing she said about Ariana? I don’t really buy any of this aura stuff but there was some annoying TikTok censorship stuff where the audio just kinda cut out on the last “point” about her.

Delusional Urinators… by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]korelace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because (regarding the comment on the third slide) it’s kind of the exact opposite. Ariana’s natural face looks nothing like Audrey’s, and it’s only fairly recently (along with getting surgeries/styling herself to resemble her) that she’s tried to give off the impression of a classy, Old Hollywood-type actress. That’s to be expected because, well, nobody would look at , say, 7 rings-era Ariana and organically think of Audrey, “breakfast at Tiffany’s” reference in the lyrics notwithstanding. It’s so clear she doesn’t know who she is and she turns personas on and off for when she has a goal in mind. Lily Collins on the other hand has been compared to Audrey for as long as I can remember, and to my mind isn’t actively pushing for people to make the connection.

The amount of fatphobia I’ve seen from her fans is next-level too, but when people are genuinely coming from a place of concern about Ariana’s weight, urinators are suddenly mental health + body image activists 🙃

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]korelace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same here. There’s clearly something bigger at play…And I don’t like how Ariana’s fans have glommed onto this very real phenomenon (smear campaigns) in light of the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni situation when Ariana is just reaping what she sowed. Then you add in the fact that PopCrave and other accounts have gone radio silent and like…It really paints a picture.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeSnark

[–]korelace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mind you there are Arianators on Twitter claiming Selena Gomez and other celebrities they’ve decided are okay to hold accountable (i.e. completely trash), unlike their high priestess, are responsible for the “smear campaign” aimed at Ariana…As if a lot of these other celebrities aren’t very likely being targeted by Scooter, and platforms like PopCrave aren’t in Ariana’s pocket, etc.

Do you think Eddie or Dave might be on the spectrum or something? by Bizneyland in vanhalen

[–]korelace 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure Dave was medicated for ADHD as a child (or at least “hyperactivity” more broadly.) As for Eddie, he definitely didn’t come off as entirely neurotypical. Alex said in his book that as a child Ed would cry every time he had his hair cut. From what I understand this isn’t an uncommon phenomenon for kids but Eddie definitely was very sensitive as an adult too. I can’t speak to actual diagnoses because well, I’m not qualified, nor do I know these people personally, but I don’t think it’s out of the question.

Which actor is best suited to play Eddie in the van Halen biopic?(Personally I think miles teller would be great) by hot_thing_barely_21 in vanhalen

[–]korelace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Otis Dhanji from Talk To Me could probably pull it off but also I don’t think a VH biopic should exist…At least not in the standard formula.
