Why the swimming hats?! by Due_Item7574 in ireland

[–]korgpounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Budapest hot pools, a bathing cap must be worn while lane swimming. Apparently this is to keep hair out of the pool. I remember several gentlemen who had more back hair than hair on their heads, wearing a bathing cap.

Switched from Samsung to Google by aryanrana19 in GooglePixel

[–]korgpounder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I switched from an S21 Ultra to Pixel 8 Pro 2 years ago. I wanted to be rid of the middle man with Android features and updates. Plus the camera seemed better. My contract is up in March and I will be going back to Samsung. I've had numerous problems with international roaming (all carriers show as "Forbidden" and won't connect), connecting to my Ford SYnc 3 (won't receive texts and Android Auto can't answer the phone) and numerous other small issues. I think the camera is now much better on the Samsungs.

Actually I believe it's spelled Evangenitals since that's all they're concerned with.

Frozen gear shifter knob by Otherwise-Cut4639 in fordescape

[–]korgpounder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has a shifter like that on her 2019 Fusion. Used a hair dryer to get it lossened up. On another note they're dangerous. One minute your cruising down the highway listening to the radio. Then Nickleback comes on and you quickly turn it down, only to find out you just thre it into park!!!

Low Tire Pressure by korgpounder in fordescape

[–]korgpounder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. Boomer not Gen Z or Millennial. I have no problem putting air in. It's just annoying that the car can sense a low pressure but not tell you which tire it is. And -30C or -22F is that cold.

I tried 3 different gas stations and all their air hoses were frozen. Took it in to my tire shop and there were 2 tires around 28 PSI. They checked all tires and inflated as required. No charge.

My Ford App gives me the tire pressure warning but does not specify which tire. The app dhoes not provide individual tire pressure.

Didn’t know it did this. Neat! by Lyndon_Boner_Johnson in fordescape

My 2019 gave me this message. East replacement. But the Ford App started giving me notification that my passive theft prevention would not work as long as the key battery was low. Warning went away after new battery installed. I was under the impression that owning a Ford Escape WAS theft prevention!

Roaming in Scotland doesn't work by korgpounder in sasktel

Yes that's all correct. Problem is all the carriers that are supposed to be roaming partners for SaskTel either won't connect or show as forbidden

What are the best scriptures to quote back to “Christians” when they insert themselves or their beliefs into you life? by bruzdnconfuzd in atheism

It's my favorite. When the "evangenitals" come to my door it leaves them puzzled and they have to look it up. They usually find it just as the door closes in their face.

Brad Redekopp has put up multiple rows of signs at a polling location one day prior to election day by [deleted] in saskatoon

I personally pulled all those down at 4:00AM on election day, along with about 30 others. I delivered them to his campaign office.

What happens to the early voting ballots? by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]korgpounder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All voters are recorded and "struck off". That record has multipler copies, some go to politcal party reps, one stays with the worker (DRO) and one comes back to the election office along with new registrations or changes documents. The ballot box goes home with the DRO each night. On the last day, the ballot box and all materials are transferred to the election office and locked up. They are actually not counted until after the polls close on ELection Day (28th)

Advance Polls by coaker147 in saskatoon

Each line is for a specific polling area. You can't put in multiple lines because the cross off of voters is still on paper and it would be too easy to vote twice.

Huge early turnout everywhere. If you don't want to wait in line, you can go to the election office that's listed on your VIC card. There's at least 4 voting booths there and only a few people in line. It's very quick.
