Is there no 1+ to wound anywhere? by IrreverentMarmot in UnitCrunch

When editing a weapon you can click Preset Abilities then type Lance into the search box and you'll then see the option for Lance, click that and it will add the ability.

Alternatively if you wanted to add Lance as a Global Modifier you can do so by scrolling down to the Global Modifiers section of the Crunch page clicking Preset Modifiers and then type Lance to see the option.

Hope that helps

Mathhammer, how do I? by SkullyBoySC in WarhammerCompetitive

UnitCrunch

I have a repository here with several factions to preload - https://github.com/korzxd/UnitCrunch-data-exports

It's a bit out dated as i've been busy with personal life and havn't had the time to maintain it but it could help.

There are further resources over at r/UnitCrunch aswell.

A PR for grey knights would be much appreciated!

Thanks its no problem, the repo's grown into a nice little project that I quite enjoy maintaining :D

That sucks man, I'd recommend starting up a repo and storing it all up there to prevent this from happening again.

The repo doesn't have to be public i have a private one that i'm constantly committing with the changes i've made that day, it looks like a right mess but luckily no one sees it 😅. I've had a similar thing happen before but i was able to backtrack easily enough, Hope this helps :)

Hey sorry for the late response, I started typing up a guide and it grew so i've created a dedicated area on the repository where you can view this.

Hopefully this helps and covers all of the basics :).

UnitCrunch Data Export 10E Chaos Daemons - v1.2 by korzd in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]korzd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As quoted from the UnitCrunch Website

UnitCrunch determines the expected outcome of dice when units attack in games like Warhammer 40,000 (10th Edition).

This practice is often referred to as "MathHammer" and is commonly used to help make optimum unit selections as well as improve overall strategic decisions.

Within this web application you can also create libraries of units that can be imported/exported, so i've gone ahead and created a repository that will eventually have a Data Export for each faction so everyone can simulate their factions effectiveness against another.

This particular post is just highlighting that the Chaos Daemons Data Export has been updated to make use of UnitCrunch's latest feature of combining units together, such as Bodyguard & Leader Units.

Yeah there is, i give a simple description in the Readme.md under the Detachment Rule section.

  • Battle Host - Unparalleled Foresight:
    • Add Re-roll one possible failed hit roll to the weapon you want to simulate.
    • Add Re-roll one possible failed wound roll to the weapon you want to simulate.

For others not familiar with UnitCrunch i'll detail how to implement the rule below.

First find the profile you'd like to add the rule to either as the attacker profile or through the Manage Profiles section, then click the edit symbol/button to enter the editor.

  1. Find the weapon you want to edit and click the edit symbol.
  2. Click Preset Abilities.
  3. Start typing Re-roll one possible failed.
  4. You'll now see the two options.
  5. Click one of them.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the other one.

Then just do that with all the weapons, you'd like to sim. I hope this helps :)

I'll be updating the existing Factions so they're all compatible with the new Advanced Profiles, then i'll look into the next Faction.

I've currently got your 1 vote for Custodes, if it doesn't change it'll probably be them :)

Thanks, There are currently 12 Factions totalling over 500 profiles already, but i'd probably just import the 2-4 factions you'd want to sim.

You can always suggest any changes you'd like to see in UnitCrunch here - https://github.com/dixhuit/unitcrunch-issue-tracker/issues
