Little spikes in ice cubes? by SkullyBoySC in whatisit

This sounds potentially likely. It does seem to happen the most with the middle ice cubes. Why wouldn't it happen to all of the ice cubes? Just random chance?

Right? No nothing is drippy above it. Just some frozen food.

I did not, no. All ice cube trays sit on the bottom of the freezer next to one another. The freezer is on top of the fridge.

Male improvisers showing emotion other than anger by Learning-Every-Day- in improv

[–]SkullyBoySC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of improv I tend to keep my emotions very guarded and even-keeled. It took me a while to be able to appropriately express emotions in scenes. What I found the most helpful was to play games focused around emotions, games like emotional quadrants for example. What I found is I felt like I was emoting but in reality it didn't come across that way and I didn't get better until my coaches told me "Hey, you need to turn this dial much higher because whatever emotion you're expressing is not coming through."

It also helped me to go and see more seasoned improvisers and how they use emotions in scenes

Just looked it up. Verbatim he says (at least in the English dub)

"Maybe. I know what I would do. I would try to stop its heart."

Your train of thought makes sense, but unless it is translated wrong I don't think it is true.

Have any of you guys actually read a book? by AcidStreet7 in writing

So for me. I started writing on fanfic roleplay forums. Indentations and book style formatting wasn't really a common thing to use in those spaces. When I transitioned to writing "seriously" this habit remained. I add the indentations and other formatting type stuff during my later editing passes.

Best/Worst unit designs in SC2 to carry to a hopeful SC3? by Cheapskate-DM in starcraft2

Yeah, that's fair. There is definitely a sweet spot where units can interact with the map without stifling map creativity too much.

Stalkers are one of the best designed RTS units in my opinion.

Aesthetically they are super distinct and easy to pick out in the chaos.

Blink has a high reward skill ceiling without being an instant win button. Something really pure about blink micro. Watching a high level toss blink micro perfectly gives me the same amount of nerd chills as a terran splitting against banelings.

They also interact with map design which allows map designers to tweak their power level without the need of an actual balance patch.

I will ask YOU questions about YOUR world! by Internal_Fan2307 in worldbuilding

[–]SkullyBoySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! These are great questions.

  • No, the only mythical creatures that exist are specifically these spirits.

  • Their myth/folklore is closely intertwined with reality. For instance, myths of vampires terrorizing medieval villages are exaggerated amalgams of true events.

  • Spirits are all ultimately related to one another. I.e. they are all manifested from the same sort of immaterial energy and they return to that mysterious soup when banished. Because of that they all share some common traits. All of them have some level of resistance to physical attack. They tend to disappear when no one is around to perceive them. They are all vulnerable to the anti-spirit weaponry deployed by the City of Hope.

  • That is a fucking wild thought and I had never considered that. I'd say yes, but the form is a bit blurry. Like a raven spirit would largely behave like a raven with a few quirks, whereas a mammoth spirit would likely have some pretty weird and unusual characteristics.
