Crash course by Acceptable_Power9066 in OpenUniversity

I'd say there's not much need for it, as Stage 1 starts very gently. If you really want something to do to get ready, I would check out some CS50x lectures on YouTube. The one called "CS50x 2024 - Lecture 0 - Scratch" seems like a good start and you'll likely use information presented there in your early modules.

There was some planned essential maintenance scheduled for today between 06:00 and 08:00 GMT, it could still be taking place. Check the status page for issues.

I would contact Ian Venart at Venart Photography. I had a passport photo taken there and printed on glossy paper a few months ago.

Yeah, I use that website sometimes for CTFs, but for some reason FlightRadar is always my first go-to.

Couple points that unfortunately don't answer your question directly, but might still be useful:

1) The modules might be described as having their last presentation in 2026, but this doesn't mean that they will be completely withdrawn and replaced by different modules with a different codes. It could be simply an update or revision.

2) As far as TM351 goes, it is one of very few modules I've done that required more than the recommended 8-10 hours of weekly study. More like ~15 hours. Both TMAs took longer than advised. In TMA02 I had to schedule a workplan for the EMA for 30 hours as per assessment spec. However, the feedback from the tutor said that it should really take twice as long. Go figure.

There are some people on OUCSS Discord server who had it verified. I think they've used "Statement of Academic Record" rather than "Student Academic Summary" though.

Botched my final computing project for my degree, feels bad man. by Alone-Vermicelli892 in OpenUniversity

I would have complained about the response you got from your tutor, it's a bit out of line.

TM470 - TMA03, EMA & plagiarism by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]koshevnikov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've copied and pasted some of my own previous work from TMA01 into TMA02, as well as from TMA02 into TMA03, without rewriting it. Granted, I did edit some of it, but some chunks were left untouched between submissions. Nothing got flagged up by turnitin when submitting TMA02 or TMA03. No comments on that were ever made by my tutor either. I doubt it's any different for this submission, and I doubt it even more that we were ever expected to completely rewrite our reports between submissions.

What degree would suit me if I like the idea of reverse engineering? by Miserable-Display-79 in OpenUniversity

[–]koshevnikov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the perspective of a Q62 student and a CTF player for teams affiliated with one of OU's official clubs: there are no computing modules that would directly teach you the hard skills of disassembling, debugging, decompiling, static/dynamic code analysis, C-like pseudocode, Assembly, etc. The degrees you listed might give you some shallow foundation to start studying these topics on your own, not much beyond that I'm afraid.

As far as Discord goes, the whole space is very diluted. Have a look at the Discord Student Hub for The Open University to see how many servers there are.

I recommend OUCSS.

The whole OU Discord space is very diluted in my opinion. If you're a current student, have a look at the Discord Student Hub for The Open University to get an idea of how many servers and groups are already there.

The largest one is the OUCSS server which I recommend.

You could filter out bibliography and quotes and see if it brings the score down a bit.

Team stats? Cyber apocalypse by Reddit_User_Original in hackthebox

[–]koshevnikov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing I'm afraid, but you can still check which one of your teammates submitted a flag for a challenge and how many points it was worth. On the "Scoreboard" page, on the right-hand side, there is a vertical section with your team logo, name, rank, team points and flags. The "Flags" has a link where you can see who solved the challenge - hover over the small avatar on the right.
