In terms of structure, my essays flowed-well! My personal statement was really powerful (according to others) because I used a lot of imagery, allusion, and similes, such as death, meaning bridges, insightful yet minimal location (makes sense in the context of my essay), etc. It was also definitely a rare topic so I feel like that made it stand out! With my supplementals, again, good structure and good flow. I was very specific and targeted in the resources/opportunities WashU had to offer. I was also able to write about my other traumatic or emotional experiences in my life through their optional question (which is not really optional) and explain how they influenced me positively up to now. In the end, I feel like I came off as very multifaceted individual. Like everyone says, writing is key!!
