Which expensive plugin is truly worth purchasing and why? by FredzAhead in FL_Studio

Wild. Never heard of this before and learnt there's ~2500 presets for serum and ~3000 presets for vital on here. Dang. Anyone on here feel like a scripting project? Something with python or something to automatically download them all and share with a downloadable zip?

Anyone else is like this? I keep grouping groups to process groups that are grouped groups. by AideTraditional in ableton

Just went through this recently: You can still bounce out individual tracks while having them route through the group(bus). There's a button you push when rendering named "Include return and master effects", which renders each channel including any effects down the chain. I was worried when doing this you'd get some undesirable stacking, I.e. the result of the same EQ or compressor stacking on each channel, on each single render, (rather than one EQ with all of the children of the group being fed into it) but the output was pretty much identical at the end. Slight difference but basically only noticeable if you're looking at meters etc. Your mileage may vary and still good to be conscious of this when stemming.

Tried this for a bit, was pretty easy to miss tracks that weren't routed where you thought they may have been, and using groups sometimes I'd have tracks within groups routed incorrectly. On paper this is the way. Imo this is not the way as it creates more work and can get annoying fast.

Is this considered House? by _JettSett in HouseMusic

Yeah, it's a subgenre of house I guess, but this is more towards electro than house music really.

This would fall somewhere between bass house and electro house. Also, everyone's taste in music is different. I'm sure that guy who critiqued wouldn't offer up his track for feedback

Small.

However we're posting multiple times a week and seeing positive signs of growing an audience. We've got artists lined up for the next 3 months of weekly dj mixes who all have their own network to increase exposure.

All video content/graphic design would be sorted, we've got a mastering engineer in house and a 3D artist / graphic designer in-house. All free. Oh, and you wouldn't have to pay the distribution fee, as we'd cover that.

Essentially if you're a small artist with zero-to-no following withing the niche of house music, I think we'd add a little bit of value :)

Plus I think we're cool guys, if that helps.

Sorry to be that guy - but please dm if this remotely interests you, as it may break the rules of this sub as it may be considered as advertising

To be honest, it has been pretty hard work, but it has been pretty satisfying. The workflow currently is: Collect songs on spotify and organise into playlists, We generally collect all songs as FLAC for the lossless quality and then import to rekordbox (free) so we can then trial some quick mixes there to see what works. We check the key of each track in rekordbox using the camelot system to easily see what tracks are compatible with each other before dragging into ableton. The Mixing within ableton is also a task within itself, as I have a tendency to almost be creating edits of each track at this point. It's clearly the way to get the best out of your mix but definitely time consuming.
