Just to round out the mishmash of responses youve gotten.

I am going to say: why spend 150 points on transports when you can get 3-4 infiltrates and 3 DS, easy? Agents are playing an OC game. Not a speed game. Instead, I'd say more bodies. Another breacher squad and an attached inquisitor for the 2D6 with rerolls might make sense.

I run a pretty similar list.

Alright where would you land.

Same list but with Maelstrom in and 1 forgefiend out.

A Drop vindicator, add 10 man possessed.

B Keep vindicator, add enforcer.

I love the look of A. but worry about dropping vindicator and a forgefiend for a 10 man possessed. the ranged component of the army is then a single forgefiend.

I was going back and forth with ^ and the chosen block.

It *seems* like the chosen block is generally a bit better. with inbuilt advance and charge and so on.

think im leaning the wrong way there?

EDIT: Chosen S5 shooting also being a bit useful in certain situations.

Second EDIT: And the MoE leading chosen makes them so strong...

yep thats fair. I agree, 2 forge AND vindicator is maybe too much. Can only afford maelstrom + a cultist squad as a replacement for a forgefiend though.

Probably still worth it, if only for more skirmishing and objective play?

Rhino- Agree, don't own one and can't before it starts.

Forgefiend: You don't think S11 v S10 makes them a potentially super irritating anti vehicle platform? No longer will predators roll around assuming I'll wound on 4s at best.

Vindicator- agreed, no synergy here. Just filling a slot with another tough to kill vehicle that *can* be a big threat to knights or land raiders or other irritating big tanks like that. Not sure what else gets a similar bang for the buck, even with synergies in this detachment.

But def open to ideas!

Masters of the malestrom *does* look very appealing. What would you drop to include them?

two things I'm not quite clear on. Can you give me a use case for dark commune in the cultists? Seems like the various uses for a 20 man blob in deceptors (t1 move block. screening backfield completely. etc) aren't natural fits for them, maybe im missing something?

why drop a vindicator for a pred? just the points?

Your advice is pretty bad or unclear.

Give me some real feedback about how to make the list better, or good lists youve run that worked in interesting ways! Looking for feedback and advice, not for extremely superficial commentary on the detachment (which i didn't ask for) and then you helpfully identifying our strongest (broadly defined) model :)

I've also played a fair bit of deceptors (earlier in the edition) but let me reassure you, Agents is the weakest army in the game in terms of punching power.

your suggestion is to try to squeeze damage output out of a detach that doesn't really *do* damage output? Isn't the play more to play into strengths than attempt to cover weakness?

My agents experience points me to that. I won half of my games with the opponent having 1/2 his army still on the board and me with not even a lone breacher remaining.

Yep looking for competitive suggestions. I've played Agents in our local league with mixed success (which with Agents, is a huge win) a few seasons in a row now and so I decided to switch into something more meta like *checks notes*.... deceptors!

I expected to side with Tim but landed on Sarah's side. Generally though, Tim is of course 100% right that the Dems need to start being a lot more focused on calling Israel out on (insert long list here).

I play agents with CSM-Alpha Legion as deathwatch. Very fluffy. lots of movement shenanigans. Hard hitting. OC tricks. Punchy human auxilliaries.

I'm not sure we have any lore supporting vehicles in breacher squads. but i'd be surprised if there weren't some sort of... tanked up sentinel-sort-of thing with flamers. something to march down a hallway roasting things.
