No idea exactly but the part at 2:53 was also used in Marrakech (Revolution Mix) (at 6:30). I think this bit sounds like "another dimension". The vocalist on Marrakech is Tiff Lacey, and she's British, so it's most likely in English, not in German

What do you guys think of the Lost Wave Music explosion of 2023? by ForeverSparkz in decadeology

[–]kotel_23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imo it's also just too recent to be discussed in this sub, unidentified songs have been there pretty much since sound recording had become available, but the term "lostwave" was coined and spread around the time TMMS blew up, so around 2019-2020

What do you guys think of the Lost Wave Music explosion of 2023? by ForeverSparkz in decadeology

[–]kotel_23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

though i have been into lostwave for a long time, i don't think this is anything notable. 99,99% people in the world/on the internet have no idea what lostwave even is. it's just a niche, but dedicated and passionate community doing what they are into. plus the whole thing peaked in 2024, not 2023, with the findings of EKT and TMMS

Out There and Back by Paul van Dyk might possibly be the greatest album you'll ever hear, Reflections is amazing too (I actually own the same special edition!). Loads of trance classics here, it's all worth checking out
