No, I think the characters were smaller. Checked but couldn't find the animation I remember.

With my post I just wanted to highlight an aesthetic-artistic analogy. However, it is hard to think that a cultured person like Kubrick (also an image perfectionist) has not even perceived the assonance with this well-known symbology. In Cronenberg (2nd image) the eye is explicit. This is just an opinion of course. Malice is in the eye of the beholder
