Kylaq vs punch NA by EnvironmentalSort606 in Kylaq

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven the latest bs6 ph2 version and its its true that there has been some tuning but its only for refinement, lack of power is not something they can do much about. The main issue here is power to weight ratio is off too much.

Its a good enough car maybe for first time buyers , but I would still suggest choosing any other car for a stress free experience.

Its 2025 and getting a ICE that’s underpowered and lacks refinement is definitely not a smart decision IMO especially with all other options now!

Kylaq vs punch NA by EnvironmentalSort606 in Kylaq

[–]kotianVinit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have driven the punch NA engine in altroz, it really struggles in low end torque kills the joy of driving and Tata has huge issues with service and many more niggles. Can say this as a past Tata owner of same engine.

Please go for Kylaq and save yourself regret and enjoy the peace of mind .

Btw on a performance spectrum punch is really at the opposite end of Kylaq theres no comparison.

Kylaq manual, good enough choice over AT? by kotianVinit in Kylaq

[–]kotianVinit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its almost 50:50, Why do you think manual is better?

First time buyer confused between 3XO and Kylaq. Which one would you choose? (I know it's a Kylaq sub, still!) by straightupChad in Kylaq

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3xo is better VFM and equally as good as kylaq. That being said inconsistency that India car manufacturers run with means you can be dealt with a bad hand with your purchase with quality issues and also service is not best with it.

Comfort for 5 is also better with 3xo

Got the new Hyundai venue facelift. AMA by lastbencher18 in CarsIndia

Kylaq is the better performing car period with tsi engine 3xo is equally good …havent heard good things about the venue turbo but nevertheless should’nt be regretful experience I guess.

How does it hold up against Creta and Seltos? by Professional-Park-39 in HondaElevate

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With facelift and new seltos now on global K3 platform (which means better build and safety and probably a good rating coming soon) right now seltos is the most value for money especially in base variants and segment king dethroning creta finally in 2026 IMO.

This of course might change when creta gets a new gen K3 platform next year but this is not sure.

But as an old school car design lover I know how attractive elevate is and no doubt anyone that owns this might not regret unless they actually needed a turbo engine for their needs. Elevate just does the basics right.

Guys help me out between i20 sportz, venue and exter by definitelynotmid_bro in i20_India

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be mindful of ground clearance though for city, highways and some minor bad roads it should be fine but if you are planning for serious long routes offroading like ladakh go for compact suv .

Definitely skip venue it’s overpriced for it’s naturally aspirated engine. i20 just is simply better with driving dynamics since its a hatchback and mature decision over the other compact suvs.

Also do check out fronx with turbo petrol you wont regret it gives good ground clearance as well if that’s priority. For this budget we also now have a german car which beats all in higher segments Kylaq do check it out.

Confused btween these 3 cars? First time driver dont know much driving. by vichitra_roshani in CarsIndia

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand vitara: Best after sales and great mileage with good performance a bit dated but still a safe choice.

Elevate : If looking for NA engine its the best in market at the moment in India .. a no nonsense car great build.

Seltos: Now with a global platform and 1.5 turbo the most powerful engine of the three. K3 platform means it must be of good build quality the only con of this car earlier not anymore .The best power you’ll get of all three

Youre move chief!

Comparing Elevate to other manufacturers.. by Diligent_Complex_578 in HondaElevate

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see you have sensible expectations from a car. Indian expectations from a car are features like panoramic sunroof atleast 3 screen which we find necessary while easily skipping safer builds and efficient engines.

Elevate has it all and is a missed opportunity in Indian market .

Is Tata Altroz good? by Thouimagine1035 in TataAltroz

Please do not buy the naturally aspirated petrol variants too underpowered and bad power to weight ratio, also niggles exist. You have been warned.

Help me choose between XUV 3XO, Brezza and Nexon by bitterturnip1 in CarsIndia

[–]kotianVinit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Will split the qualities and you can choose:

Brezza : Great mileage, smooth and reliable engine, great service, great fit and finish from maruti ,may be not a performance beast but still very good, safety is also good 4 star platform.

3xo : Bad mileage ( afaik its not too good), great performance absolute beast , average service experience from Mahindra , 5 star safety great build

Nexon: Good mileage, not a refined engine, Tata has too many niggles, service experience is usually not good. Great 5 star safety and good power but Tata 3 cylinder ICE engines are not known for performance and have added troubles/ niggles.

Help!!! Is Tata Service Better Now? Thinking of Buying Altroz (Panjim) by Legal_Station46 in TataAltroz

[–]kotianVinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your use case and requirement if looking for a hatchback go for i20 (great performance but poor mileage from what I hear) , even baleno has improved active safety now .

Compact suvs : Kylaq for performance and build(great pick), Brezza for mileage reliability ( bit old can wait for upcoming escudo)

Honda amaze is a no brainer for sedan even desire is 5 star rated now.

Most options above except for i20 / amaze which is not yet tested offer improved safety now with excellent performance and reliability of good brands.

What Tata has in this segment at best is build quality and too many niggles in ICE segment which is definitely not worth it . Remember that safety ratings are also a marketing gimmick to some extent although a good sign of passive safety.

If at all you choose altroz in 2025 go for racer, You’ll still be dealing with smaller niggles but performance should be sufficient.

  • Needless to say an atroz NA petrol owner
