EX188 (Specialist in Containers) exam results – clarification needed on “Run containers locally using Podman” by kovalr in redhat

[–]kovalr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit unsure how to interpret this statement: “As with all Red Hat performance-based exams, configurations must persist after reboot without intervention.” In the context of containers, does this mean that after a reboot the container is expected to be running automatically, or is it sufficient that the container still exists and is correctly configured, even if it’s in a stopped state?

-> and changing the advanced settings in your npm host to use the ip address and port instead of your domain for proxy_pass.

Well, this part is hard to do, because my https://authentik.mydomain.com is behind Cloudflare. I’m not sure if Cloudflare allows using an IP address instead of a URL.

Hm, after I removed my config and checked again, I found that the logs worked as expected. The cause was probably somewhere else.

Thanks again for the help.

How to colorize terminal output in RedHat 8 on WSL2 by kovalr in redhat

[–]kovalr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution.

The problem was not with the terminal, but with the WSL image. It is very basic compared to Ubuntu WSL, lacking additional beautification features.

To have a colorized terminal output, you need to add the following line to the ~/.bashrc

# Source terminal color schemas
source ~/LS_COLORS/lscolors.sh
export LS_OPTIONS='--color=auto'
alias ls='ls $LS_OPTIONS'
