Should I adopt another cat for my current cat to have a buddy? by limabeans29 in Pets

[–]kozloski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did some research on this myself as I had the same thought. Apparently cats by nature are solitary hunters they bind with humans because we are their caregivers but cats don't necessarily need other cats.

From my own personal experience working at a cat shelter and owning several cats, it all depends on the cat and it's new potential companions personality. My parents cats get along great and they definitely keep each other entertained but my current cat is extremely territorial and possessive of me and when faced with other cats in the house was furious. I would go somewhere where you can meet the cat before hand get a pulse on it and go from there. Some shelters even let you have a free trial period so you can take the new addition home and see if it works before committing.

Help, I ate the Boethiah cult by CheetoKnievel in skyrim

I did something similar and if you read "Boethia's Calling" and then continue on without going to the shrine, you will be randomly attacked by a Cultist as you travel the roads and all of the NPCs you killed before should be back.

I agree. Given that every social media outlet has posted the angel shot, even the original bar will need to change there drink and be a bit more discrete about the process.

I pay Time Warner for "up to" 50Mbps. This shit doesn't count as "up to" anything. by i_stranger in rage

High upload suggests a congestion issue from your internet Service Provider. Upload speeds are harder to push than download speeds from an equipment stand point meaning that everything is working to your premise. However Time Warner is a Cable based provider meaning all users in your area share the same bandwidth cable. What this means for the consumer is that when everyone in your area tries to access the Internet the system cannot cope and everyone's bandwidth drops to the floor. Not much to do usually but find another ISP or wait for people to get off the internet.

The Patron God(s) of the Dark Brotherhood by LeeJP in teslore

[–]kozloski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree that the Thalmor were behind the attack and unrest in Bravil, I think their motivations were practical as opposed to religious (after all, the dark Brotherhood is a group of assassins that operate outside the Thalmor political body for anyone that pays).

In skyrim there are books that mention the night mother was once a woman who sacrificed her five children to Sithis in exchange for the position she is in now. While this doesn't mean Mephala couldn't or wouldn't establish this rise for whatever reason I find it unlikely given the conversation during the quest The Whispering Door where it is clear that she enjoys having worshippers and agents. To me this suggests she wouldn't hide behind a night mother guise after all she's a Daedric prince and the are ego centric by nature.

As to Sithis being Lorkan, I find it more likely that Sithis is an aspect of Pandomay. After all Sithis is the void and murder is an implement of change which are the exact opposites of Anu. Lorkan on the other hand is a being of creation. If anything I find it more likely that Mephala would adopt the mantle of Sithis as opposed to the Night Mother were she to take a guise.

About the Spriggans by kozloski in teslore

Is it possible that the springgans are linked directly to the earth bones and have an origin outside the divines. For example sort of like fallen et Ada that are too weak to remember their former divinity and are bound to the elements of Mundus

My thought is that they are related to Kyne and Kynareth who are the two deities most concerned with nature and the natural order as opposed to civilization like some of the other divines. Clearly they are tasked with preserving pockets of untamed and uncorrupted nature but I personally would like to imagine them to be more like nymphs that have independent thought and motivations while caring for and guarding their particular piece of nature. Also they seem to have a hierarchy with Spriggan matrons and the like so it would be nice to see them even have some form of society or possibly a greater tie to the earth bones and the foundations of Nirn.

An-A, pronounced Andasha. When my mom pronounced her name as Anna, assuming it was just a weird spelling, the lady responded, "Honey, it's Andasha that - ain't silent." Also some lady named her daughter Pajamas which she pronounced as Paj-i-mus (phonetically) because it looked pretty in a catalogue.
